Amazing tutorial! This one actually worked and i didn’t end up with a splotchy pastelly mess like i did with other tutorials.

Hey I was wondering, how did you make your colors darker? Thanks! P.S. Really enjoyed this
@denisecamacho88258 жыл бұрын
And I was wondering should I start off with light colors?
@studioofmm8 жыл бұрын
+Denise Camacho watercolour paint is naturally translucent so the darkness happens as you build up the layers of the colours.
@studioofmm8 жыл бұрын
+Denise Camacho it's always a good idea to go from light to dark, especially with watercolour paint.

Hi.Can I use canvas or an illustration board?
@studioofmm7 жыл бұрын
+Sophia Guinto they can both work, just be aware that the paint won't absorb into the surface the same was as with paper.

Can we use regural white watercolour for the stars or it is necessary to use acrylic?
@studioofmm8 жыл бұрын
+Gewrgia Fl watercolour is a translucent medium so for the stars you really need something that's opaque. There are a few different things you can use; acrylic ink, acrylic paint, gouache, I've seen some people even use white out.

I've tried everything! I didn't know if we had an old toothbrush to use, so I bought a new one and tried that, didn't work. After several attempts I searched for an older one, and gave it a few attempts with that one, didn't work. I got one in an even worse condition, and checked with water how it would splatter just to see if it was my finger movements that was the issue, but when I tried with water it worked perfectly fine. So I tried again with the worse toothbrush, but then it failed AGAIN! Don't get me wrong, this video was very helpful, and it seems to work for others. I'm just upset over my own failures since I have no idea what I'm doing wrong!
@studioofmm7 жыл бұрын
+VampireFox 3 it's probably not so much about the brush as it is about what type of white paint you're using. It needs to be liquidy enough to be able to splatter but still opaque.
@raining_in_autumn7 жыл бұрын
I don't know honestly. The paint is liquid, that's for sure, and it's not opaque since I've gotten a few dots.. Just.. Very few... It might be that the paint is too liquorish, since when I first tried it just melted into the bottom of the brush, as well as got all over my hands. I don't know if this is the actual problem, but I don't know what else it would be. Does that mean that I'll have to get new paint tho? Or is there an easier solution??
@raining_in_autumn7 жыл бұрын
Y'know what? That might be the problem. I took a closer look at the paper, and it seem to have gotten all over it, it's just super tiny dots and hardly visible even from a closer angle. I don't know for sure but.. I don't know what else the problem would be... Welp, guess I have to go buy new paint again then :') Thx for the advice tho, very helpful! ❤❤

It’s best to use a thicc brush or an old brush for me, hit is on a stick or a pencil like drums but on each other and it should work out better I guess

I'm sorry to be bothering you for asking, but are the water colors transparent or guache? Last time I used guache and the colors didn't blend well
@studioofmm7 жыл бұрын
+uneeza usman gouache isn't actually watercolour though it can sometimes be called the equivalent of "opaque watercolour". Normal watercolours have a range of transparency levels depending on the particular colour's ingredients. To answer your question, the paints used in the video are just watercolour paints.
@bigzaria7 жыл бұрын
how do you even use water color tubes? i bought some but i have no idea how to xD
@studioofmm7 жыл бұрын
+Twiligh Cinder squeeze a tiny amount of the paint out onto something like a pallet or plate (something that won't absorb liquid!) and then dilute the paint with water to your desired opacity.
