Hi Karen, I would like to thank you for this video because, to me, it is really the first video that gives the complete technical explanations about painting the background : how to avoid cauliflowers, consistency AND quantity of the paint : sooo important ! This might sound evident for an experienced painter but it is really-really precious. I"m always struggling with technical questions and it helped me ! Thank you again.

Great explanations - and thank you for owning any mistakes! It helps to see what can go wrong and what can be done to correct mistakes. Also, explaining why the techniques are important helps us stick to the script - it’s so tempting to push on when we should wait for things to dry!

What a great tutorial! I have always had problems with cauliflowers and have looked for answers. There are many explanations but yours is stunning. All your paintings are so gorgeous, really they are! And I love your kind of teaching, always considering that there are a lot of beginners like me. Thanks for each single tutorial! Always have bought my supplies at Jacksonsart, but the pandemic and the brexit changed a lot. Shipping costs exploded and I am not sure about VAT. Very very sorry about that☹️
