Plot twist, he just bought that brush 0:44 at lunch and he's been the only one using it.

I'm back... I took a 2 yr break from the baseboards. Wrong thing to do. Should have finished caulking them, filled the nail holes and done that paint touch up because installer did NOT do any of that. I finished half the house and took a break which resulted in a 2 yr break. Ug. I didn't trust doing the caulking free hand so I taped above and below, then caulked between the 2 tape lines. Very tedious but it worked for me. So, what do you suggest I fill the nail holes with ( I forgot what I used) and what is the best way to touch up paint once I fill nail holes? I don't have to paint all baseboards again do I? I painted before I had them installed. Thank you.

I like the hand position. Going to try that I have been known to lie on my side to get my hand comfortable for that type of cut. That hand position would prevent that. Working on a project now going to try it tomorrow.

You take such pride in your work. And you have such a subtle, dry sense of humor I love. If I need a chuckle, I watch one of your videos; I learn so much from all your techniques while smiling at the same time. Great combination. Before installing my new baseboards, I'm painting them and using the paint additive so I'll have no brushstrokes. What's your sequence - painting b4 or after installing?

I think the best way is to paint them before installation and then after you install the baseboards, then touchup; this is easier on your back, you don’t have to mask anything; I think it’s the best way to go

Thae faster you go the straighter itll be, id go twice as fast, and have a perfect line using the tip of the brush, this is the best way, been trying to get my fellow employees to do this, but they dont believe me, cause they never even try it

Hello there Spencer, I am really admiring your masterpiece of working, specially the cut in works. Recently I have had an argument about the proper brushes to be used on trimming doors and disputes we’re hanging were about the measurements of the brushes. I was saying that 3 inches sash angle brushes are the “ones” to be used but audience was stating different. What you would advise me about that matter, please? Cheers.

Spencer thank you so much for this info! What's the base of the paint here? Oil? I have to do my base trim and I have water based paint I was planning on using. I don't see any roping in this demo, so I'm curious. Thanks!

So don't lay wallpaper but I will give you a tip I had this old-timer tell me about 20 or 30 years if you want to cut your trim where paper is right up against it he said you need to get yourself a nice clean brush because this is going to be difficult but to make it easy and without getting any paint bleeding on the edge on the paper. Here's the trick he says that you only wet one side of the brush try and let me know what you think

Great tips. I hope you didn’t do that wallpaper. To the right of that outlet looks like a bubble. Maybe it’s just an illusion with the camera. Keep up the great work.

Iv found holding your breath is a sign of fear always breath normally and if I was going to do a video I wouldn't talk down to my help and I would have got my own brush to show a real pro at work. just one man's opinion.

Larry. That was my brush soiled by my careless workers. A man can only take so much silliness from workers. Talking down? Perhaps you thought I was when I had no intention to do so? Talking down to People, especially workers, doesn’t make a worker any better.

Is this the 1970s? That has to be the ugliest wallpaper and paint combo I've ever seen for remodeling work. But I 100% get it, if my clients were paying for purple paint that's what I would use but we talk crap about their design choices after we leave.

as a pro you can't use tape like this on every job it would add a fortune for tape on your overheads at end of the year good tape is expensive about £10-15 a roll. you would go through a extra grand a year in tape.
