Hi Vince, thank you so much! I apply 1-2 coats of gesso if I’m using a lower grade canvas. The canvas I’m using lately is better quality and I’m finding I don’t need gesso 😊 hope this helps, Joni

I just love this one , Joni! I started it last night.. And next thing i knew my clouds were orange and coral and pink. Whats wrong with me? I'll be 66 Monday June 1st. Do i have A.D.D? why can't i stick with the instructions? So i gessoed.. Repainted.. And here i go again this time yellow, pink and purple. I'm gonna keep this one and work it out. I'm starting again later, With only thalo blue and white on the pallet. No way i can stray.. Right?

Hi a friend would like me to paint her a guardian angel. She was just diagnosed with breast cancer. So I'm planning on adding an angle on those clouds blowing her a kiss. She also would like writing on the piece like ( my guardian angel) or something along those lines. I've neve done writing on a painting 🤞. Now I'm not sure exactly what to write on it .
