Finally someone paints with the weapons off. I don't get how people paint troops when they are "carrying" they rifles.

Hey bro, maybe I’m just dumb but as far as I can tell, Vallejo doesn’t have any colour named “Heavy Purple”. Was the name on the bottle Heavy Purple? Not sure if you used a different name or if I just cant find the colour. Model looks sick, hoping to use this if I can find the paint. Thanks.

Hi, I got the name wrong 🫣 it’s actually heavy violet from Vallejo. It’s a very similar colour to naggaroth night from games workshop

Hi, this is probably the best way to contact me by leaving comments here. I’m a small channel with a low sub count so I’m not exactly drowning in comments. Unfortunately I don’t have photos or examples of this scheme for other models in the range. The only Votann I had was the free model they gave out as model of the month Your more than welcome to use the scheme mind. The purpose of the video was to inspire and to be copied :)

Amazing, but what colors would You use for the energy or the visors? Or the wrists watches?

I think either a green or orange would suit the visors and wrist computers on these models. Something like caliban green -> warpstone glow , or troll slayer orange -> fire dragon bright

What sort of base scheme do you think would work with this?

You would have quite a lot of choice :) as the armour is quite vibrant I would Look to doing something opposite the blue and purple on the colour wheel to help the model pop. Something like a bleached desert would work. You could Also go for something more neutral and darker, something like a cork grey road or greys / silver industrial bases could Work. For a darker base you could try the space hulk base tutorial I made a couple of weeks ago. You want to pick something that compliments the blues and purples rather than fight for your eyes attention if that makes sense. You could if you do industrial bases do dark silver for majority colours and then use the colour you use for the lenses on the Votann as a spot colour on the base

Don’t let someone on KZbin appearing more talented prevent you from trying :) no blending is perfect and this certainly isn’t. You could probably stipple and drybrush these same colours to similar effect :)
