it is really cool to see a humble talented guy show what its like to learn something new. One of my best friends of my life was a very renowned motorcycle painter in Victoria B.C. He was the most humble man I ever met, and the most sought after painter and pin striper in this town. I want so much to mention his name but of course he wouldn`t like that. He showed me what it was to be a motorcycle enthusiast not just a "Biker". The point I am trying to make is people like you are a gift to those that are willing to listen.

I made jigs for all the fenders and tanks. Make new as needed. Use 1 1/4 pipe on a base jigs have 1” to slide in and rotate.

It's amazing how much the gun, even at low pressure, can move your pieces around that you're painting. Using a triangular brace with two or more mounting areas to the tent would help immensely.

Agreed! I have stands now! LOL. We sit down again on Tuesday and the video goes out at 6. We show the stands and Tony expands on the info I gave. Great to have their support. Thanks!

@@KevinBaxter those are the good ones. Long cuff and thicker than usual so they don’t rip easy. Real good touch feel for mechanical hands on work. If you ever get used to wearing them you’ll never have to wash your hands again after doing a tear down. 🤗

Looks great. If you don’t want to spend a fortune for a paint booth, check out the inflatable paint booths that are available. Seems like a great option.

Thanks Jim. I saw those. Dont know anyone that used them. Seems like a viable option for sure.

Well I'm not a pro painter so I'm not laughing. But I am totally diggin you workin under a canopy outdoors. I've been there and done that more than once!! And you made that look easy Kevin. Really. Observation: I was surprised how noisy it was. I observed someone once spraying topcoat on a quarter panel repair and it was for the most part pretty quiet, using a siphon gun. Is it because you're running the gun "wide open" as you said? And lastly, if you think about it will you ask Tony about SCFM? Seems that it varies with compressor and/or tank size? Is it a significant factor in achieving a good quality result? And with regards to purchasing a compressor for a hobbyist like me, is there a minimum size unit I should be looking for? Thanks again Kevin for ALL that you do, and most importantly, your time.

Thanks Rick. You went for it though bud. I think that's great. Ya know...that's one of the things I like about KZbin. I made a promise to myself when I started the channel...if I'm gonna talk about it, I want people to see me do it. Mistakes and all. There will be some in this series I'm sure. LOL
