How To Paint Foliages | Dos And Don'ts

I needed this video! Painting foliage like this is a struggle for me, I never know where to begin or how to make it look the way I want. This is giving me all the tips I didn't know I needed! That being said, I do still really like how the "don't" bush turned out haha, it's just one of those that could work fine in a cartoony style setting!

While you were painting the hydrangeas, I Know you said that's what they were, but all I could think was "this looks like a blueberry bush...no wait, raspberries! no...blackberries.... what about, blue-raspberries!!!" Your tutorials are some of theee best I've seen on youtube so far, I've always been able to draw and make things but wrapping my head around painting anything other than furniture has always baffled me. It seems quite literally to be a matter layering, just like digital art or photoshop etc...
