I have never seen such an in depth, helpful video on something as simple as gradients for any medium ever. Amazing!

Excellent...you said desaturate yellow and blue but if you have to dark blue sky and warm yellow....then??
@hoan85202 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure if I understand the question correctly but let say we want to paint the sunset sky. The area right where the sun is will be bright yellow almost white, the as it goes further out, it would become more orange and then transitioning to red and the purple/pink and then blue. So you will have a nice transition between colors that are right next to each other on the color wheel thus make it less muddy. It will also transition from desaturated (very light yellow almost white) to saturated (orange/red) to desaturated (dark purple/blue) so it would mix in nicely

It looks like you are using masking tape instead of painter's tape. The latter will peel off you paper much more smoothly, and works better when painted on. Look for blue-colored painter's tape

Just to point: 'ma-jen-tah', not 'mag-netah' 😊 Maybe you had misread the color name Magenta 🤭 hihihi Nice video, well explained and neat, soooo smooth gradients and lovely simple and beautiful paint piece at end! Keep doing! o/

Wait why do you wet the paper first if you wait for it to absorb anyway
@OgygiaArt Жыл бұрын
You want to wait until your paper is still damp and not completely dry. If the paper is too wet, you'll see the paint expanding quickly on its own. That is better for painting scenes like galaxy sky for example but it's harder to control and create a smooth gradient. I hope that answers the question 😊

Great video... It's magenta (mah-jen-tah) the "G" is pronounced as a "J" as in Jennifer... Again, it's a great video.

Wait I always called it "Ma-Jen-Ta" but she's calling it "Mag-net-a." Great vid tho!
