Looks great man! Though might be worth mentioning, you can't just buy any paint and spray it on. A lot of paints can attack (cant find correct words) some of the protecting plastics in the helmet. Basically making your helmet less safe.

No I don't use clear coat before painting. I use it after all painting stuff. Maybe you don't clear enough after sanding.

No mention that the chemicals in the solvents and paint can degrade the materials used in the construction of the helmet. You’re helmet is obviously a novelty helmet but try this on a $600 Shoei and you can basically render it useless. It takes special chemicals to prevent damage.

I'm trying to paint a friend's snowboard helmet and I'm really struggling with it. I've already had it sanded down, but would acrylic paints work on it? Then have a sealer coat on afterwards?
