Very helpful tutorial. I am painting an open vanity, shelves, legs, etc. The best tip ever was to use Alkyd paint. Although I've painted many a wall, painting cabinets and furniture is different and I appreciate your guidance helping me to come to a successful finish!

Great job. I’m painting my kitchen island white from a dark grey, I didn’t know it was so time consuming. But I’m in the last part with my third coat of paint and I’m going to try it your way because I keep getting dry marks and rolling lines on the paint. So frustrating. Thanks

Covering any color with white is always a hassle! 3rd coat usually does it though! What type of paint are you using? That could be causing the brush strokes/roller marks. Some types of paint just don't level very well, no matter what you do.

Great video. I think a flashlight held perpendicular to the final cabinet finish would highlight brush strokes and the expected finish better than ambient lighting

Hi! I love the colour! I wanna paint my fronts too but I am so afraid of stains...a matt paint gets stained? Can it be washed???

Alkyd enamel cures to a durable finish which can be washed. Most brands only make satin, semi and gloss, but Advance has a matte. My personal rec is a satin in a water-based alkyd paint - not much shine but still very easy to clean.
