How to Paint Miniatures with NO Experience and CHEAP Materials

There are unlimited ways to paint minis and all of them are better than leaving them unpainted. If you have very less time: prime them white, wash them black and then wash them again with a color of your choice. Takes less then 5 minutes and your plastic minis look as if they were carved from a piece of stone.

I would encourage you to watch a couple of Artis Opus videos on dry brushing. It can work fine for any size model (though that particular brush was rather too large for the subject--you can get smaller ones cheap in a makeup set), but what you appeared to be doing in that part of this video was more like stippling.

Your timing is impeccable I just got Gloomhaven Jaws of the Lion (for $20 btw) and the temptation to paint is very real

Wow. What a value. If you find the right group, you will get hours and hours of play from that. Make sure to take your time. While I painted, I would just play music. It can be very relaxing.
