Seen a ton of molten armor videos. This was the best explained one. Definitely saving it for my projects!

Hello, this is a great looking model and a reallly good tutorial! Can I please ask about your PSI on the compressor? I’m having a lot of trouble with my Dawler and Rowney FW ink going through the airbrush, it just does not work. My compressor only has 3 settings so I cannot control the PSI. When you run ink through your compressor do you thin the ink down and what PSI do you use? Sorry for being a paint but I’m getting no where with getting answers from people about this problem

Hey @Fexen-minis! I usually run my inks at 25-30 psi. I use an Iwata Eclipse with a .35 needle. I don't thin the inks, but if you're having trouble, thinning them won't have any major effects. I prefer to thin with airbrush flow improver, but water or standard thinner will work fine.

@@TheHobbyCollab thank you for getting back to me :) I think I’m going to buy a proper compressor where I can control the pressure :)

The borders of each armor panel. Also did you consider using a florescent yellow over the white panel lining? I think it could also look good to give it a little spatter on each panel of the grey, and then a dot of black in the center of each of those, if you look at a lot of molten metal you will see little flecks of black scale floating, and crusts of if quickly form on even white hot metal in air (check out some casting and blacksmithing videos) I also think the spots of black and grey on the wide panels could help you punch up your contrast even higher in the same way as the edge highlights do on those metal scales. That being said I think this could work really well on some stormcast fresh from the divine forges... or whatever divine necromancy Sigmar does.

Love this tutorial! Just found your channel. Instant subscribe! If you're going to use white ink for panel lining, add some airbrush flow improver. It's a surfactant that will decrease the surface tension of the ink, and allow it to flow along the panel lines better. Still not as amazing as oil and mineral spirits, but better than ink alone.

Stealing this. I don't know what to use it for, but it's mine now.

Hm with an icy affect instead, what do you think you'd do? Leave it white around the 'hot' areas and move to deeper and deeper blues as you moved out?
