Using a down draft you always start at the bottom of panel and work UP and let the OVERSPRAY fall on wet product , start at the top and you have dry ass overspray you are spraying over and it looks like you painted over sand , been and PPG Automotive refinish tech for 44 years and no matter what type booth you are in you always let your over spray land on WET product so you dont have a dry ass paint job! Been using Iwata for over 20 years now , and they all served me well. Great guns! I tested the SuperNova's a year before they were put in to production ( wonderful guns) and gave my input, only one thing I didnt like is they could have downsized the gun 25% for my small hands as I never switched to them from my W-400 's and my LPH-400's they are just easier to use!

Many variables could make a pattern have a heavy top and bottom. Wrong pressure... Wrong set up for the paint system in use... Gun maintenance... Humidity and temperature... The list goes on! My problem with most guns and these are in that category is, nice wide pattern, has to overlap 90% down the panel to make it wet. The need for anything more than. 15-20% overlap negates wide fan claims.

@jondoe46672 жыл бұрын
What is the reason for painting jam last?
@full_metal24522 жыл бұрын
@@jondoe4667 if you paint jamb first any overspray from jamb lands on main surface. That overspray causes irregular surface tension for the paint to land on when you transfer to main surface. Possibly effecting how it lays down or metallic/Pearl orientation. If you spray main surface first and then switch to jamb any overspray from jamb will land on an already wet bed/surface and melt in flawless. This comes into play even more so when spraying tri stage coats.

Why do companies want to sell you a different gun for every kind of paint? If you know what you're doing, you can do it all with 1 gun (plus a mini gun) and a few different tips/caps. Maybe I'll use a cheap gun for primer if i know I'm going to sand anyway.
@nicholash8021 Жыл бұрын
...paint is a fluid, and when it comes to spraying it, the only real factor is its viscosity. Viscosity is addressed by tip/cap size (including cap air hole size) and air pressure. You don't need multiple guns to achieve this.
