This tutorial is pure gold. Its the first time I see a proper weathering on black models in a video and the base tutorial is exactly what I was looking for in the past few weeks. Many many many thanks!

Nice job. I was pleased to see the Micro Set and Sol come out. No better medium for working with decals.

Space rubber. Magic metal. The simplest answers are always the smartest. What a fabulous way of dealing with moaners

Thank you, love your work. I know someone has said less airbrushing but I like to do as much airbrushing as possible before going in with the hairy brush. Top weathering, the model looks awesome.

microsol and set are a game changer. I luckily discovered it right before I had to decal an entire space marine army and made it amazingly easy

I like your painting style. Pretty free and not tedious at all. Just 2 things! : 1. You can use orange or yellow to balance the red in the highlight so it does not look pink. 2. If you use a very light yellow as a base for the glow in the eyes you could get more saturation. (neon orange is transparent and the base is already saturated with a bit of yellow) but ofc this goes in taste. Cheers!

Great video, looking forward to trying this out myself. You mentioned there is a separate video of yours with the recipe for the black wash and armor weathering. Can you link? I saw a couple videos to different weathering techniques but wanted specifically to find the black armor recipe.

Awesome video, hoping you could help me with a question. I can't get a hold of pro acryl paints here in Australia, what GW/Vallejo/etc colours would you recommend for the two greys you use in chipping? I've tried several and I can't seem to get it right, it starts to look like stone or just hardly shows up against the black.

Seriously awesome and the weathering is top.. reminds me the horus heresy style. I am planning a primaris ravenwing army style and I am thinking to use your technics.. cheers for the video

Really great and always happy when your videos have less airbrushing involved as I can copy most of this process without needing one. Thank you! Would love to know what you think of using blue tint edge highlighting on black? Whenever I do it it looks like I've added a blue grey trim and not a highlight lol.

its a fine line to walk. i usually color filter the black if im going to do blue-grey edges
@martineasterman51704 жыл бұрын
@@jackofclubspainting8125 ah ok that makes sense so the step where you toned back the highlights I could use a black ink or something to take the highlights back a bit. Thanks for your videos though I really appreciate it.

How much do you tend to thin your pro acryl paints? They seem super thin out of pot, and I can't really find the perfect dilution.

Any suggestions for a alternative to Mr.Weathering products, they seem impossible to get hold of in the UK ... in particular an alternative to the Mr.Weatherings Stain brown and the solvent Any help you could provide would be appreciated

Great tutorial! Always awesome content.. but your ad game was strong in this one. Every 6 minutes in a 30 min vid is a bit intense, especially if we have to jump back to review a few times. :(
