That looks actually really cool, only thing I'd recommend and i honestly don't know if you do this in other videos as this is the first time I've watched you is showing the model more far away at some point at roughly the same distance you would whilst playing on a table. From up close I may see one or two things I'm not sure on but looking at it from a distance may completely change that. I honestly have nothing to criticize with the actual painting though since I have 0 experience. I plan on buying some ork boyz soon, want to do a goff green tide army as my first army (I used to think warhammer was a bit stupid due until I learnt about the orks, they call to me like a can of pepper spray in a maternity ward and games workshop got me) and whilst I wont be doing it to that extent since it's time consuming I do want to make it more realistic rather than cartoony.

Thank you very much yeah it will look alot different from a distance and I want to do more easy version of these techniques aimed at beginners. There's definitely quicker and easier ways to get this look. Im always happy to help anyone who wants to paint. But yeah alot of people just wanna get models on the table where I enjoy the art side of it more these days. Thanks for watching and telling me abit about your hobby journey. If you have Facebook Gorkamorkas Workshop is a group i admin if you need a way to chat or share your work also i have G The Hypersapien on Facebook that you can talk to me on as well . Cheers and take care.

Love this mate. This is very similar to the way i paint Ork skin. Orks are my favorite faction next to BA however ive never been super into the bright green cartoony look to their skin that you normally see them with. Great results here. The way i do it with my airbrush i can knock out the skin on tons of boyz in mere minutes aside from waiting for the final all over filter wash to dry that is. After that a few highlights and boom jobs done. Like to add tons of detail on top of that like coloring in lips and gums and working alot of texture appearance in the teef. Orks are so much fun to paint.

Hey thanks for watching and commenting I appreciate it, and yeah Orks are so fun to paint, when I paint other things even if I am enjoying it when I paint the next Ork it just feels so much better. Unfortunately I don't have an Airbrush, I really should get one as I know the blocking in stage and base layers will save me so much time if I did use one. Be easier to layer up some colours and as you said use the brush to add the details. Cheers for the lovely comment 😀

I love the way this looks. I can't help but thinking about like... the background info about the orcs. Like.. i think this works really well if the orcs have red blood? I wonder how applying this kind of thinking would work with orcs that have green blood?
@Hypersapien_Hobbies Жыл бұрын
First off thank you for watching and commenting, and yes I definitely thought of Orks with Red Blood while using this. With Green blood I feel the veins and areas of wear and tear would be washed out green colours or it would have different types of greens In areas. Maybe I'll do a video like this in the future. 😀

I have a question about the chice of colours. I think it kinda looks like its a dude thats painted green and the paint is wearing off? Wouldn't the Green skin thinner skin parts be just lighter shades of green? That is all I wondered about.
@Hypersapien_Hobbies Жыл бұрын
As I mentioned in the video I was trying out those new Vallejo paint I bought, if you think it looks like a dude painted green and paint wearing off that'd up to you. Thanks for the feedback, but you're the first person who has said this to me. Each to their own i guess.

Orks have blue tongues. You should be using blues isnstead of human fleshtones.

@Hypersapien_Hobbies Жыл бұрын
Your hat is a greenfaced human? No its an Ork..
@defadus7210 Жыл бұрын
This new fad is so dumb. Since when was realistic skin made up of completely different colours? Human lips, knuckles, ears etc are all different shades of the original skin tone of that person. You don't see people walking round with pinkish white skin and then green lips 🤦♂️ so why are we painting Orks pink all of a sudden? If you truly wanted to make the GREENSKINS look realistic with multiple layers of detail, you'd stick to using different shades of green, perhaps with some shading and highlighting with blue or yellow, at a push. Gork and Mork would be shaking their heads at these pale green, grot skinned orks and pink lipped, humie skinned orks we're seeing these days... 🙄😆
@Hypersapien_Hobbies Жыл бұрын
Fad ? Why are you so Negative? You really felt like just having a rant ? Haha well umm thanks for that lots of Animals have different colour skin tones plus why are you comparing Orks to Humans ? I bet Gork and Mork is really proud if you. I hope you found a box of tissues to dry your eyes haha 😂😂
