Love your color scheme, about ready to paint some tyranids as well (returning noob... after 50 years). Any ideas on a black carapace, shiny like a beetle or other shelled insect? maybe add some iridescence? I'm looking at Vallejo's The Shifters to try out to see if that works, otherwise going with black w/ your naggaroth night, as well, love to hear any thoughts or ideas you have.... appreciate the content too, nice work!!

Thanks! I love the look of the tryanids on the box, but didnt know what colors to use. Do you know what colors to use for the shell?

for shell i used primed black then citadel base naggaroth night thn layer with citadel layer genestealer purple as the overall colors thn depends on the theme u like or weathering effects u want to add, u can add some highlights with red, grey or dirt colors
