I have been enjoying your videos very much sir. I have definitely adapted a few of your ideas, and my skills continue to grow, so thank you for that! I realize I am not a patron member or anything, but I still wanna throw this request out there. Please do a tutorial for Chief Librarian Tigurius of the Ultramarines. High quality videos for him are woefully lacking on KZbin and I think he deserves better 😄 Great job, and keep up the great work!

I must've binged over half your videos before I painted my first miniature, and, ofc, I still watch and find new things to work on and try. You've definitely helped keep me motivated in this hobby. As always, excellent tutorial! Please, keep making them! I see that in process of sub-assembly painting primer spray covered some of surfaces that should be glued together. Would the plastic glue get through layer of primer and catch plastic? Or did You glued finally-painted parts by something else like regular super-glue?
@TableTopReadyYoutube6 ай бұрын
when assebling the parts at the end you can use either super glue or plastic glue. if your using pastic glue I would scrape the contact areas so the glue can get to the plastic

Very clean and thorough work as usual. Do you work this cleanly or do you make some mistakes along the way like a too chunky edge highlight? If you do make some little mistakes it would be cool to show a model before and after correcting them to show new and/or unsure people that nobody works perfectly and fixing mistakes is part of the process. I'm also amazed that you seem to be using ALL GW stuff, overpriced brushes, paints (even the notoriously bad Corax white) and even their (also overpriced) plastic glue. Do you use anything outside of their range ?
@TableTopReadyYoutube7 ай бұрын
I make loads of mistakes. if you saw these miniaturesup close you'd see them :P i try not to worry so much about it though. I like the citadel range, its what I've always used and my goal is to paint like the studio. They great quality and probably the best water based acrylics on the market for painting miniatures. lots of variety and choice available. other things besides paints I'm easy, I'll use what ever to be honest :P

My eyes really can't tell any difference when you base coat with almost the same colour as you undercoated with. For example, I tried to paint black templars with abbadon black on chaos black. Got a lot of ugly textures, and it really wasn't fun to paint as it seemed I didn't do anything with the paint. Really disheartening and I haven't painted in months.
@TableTopReadyYoutube7 ай бұрын
We can't expect to get things right instinstly, especually if your just starting out. everything takes time and practice and we just need to slow down and take our time with things. I would just practice the basics of thinning your paint and using multple layers. if you give up, you'll never get to see how good of a painter you are. we all start somewhere. don't give up. use those spare parts to pratice
@jasonvoorhees10007 ай бұрын
Yes, I will persevere! I'm not that new, and I find my biggest problem is that I'm not consistent when it comes to thinning the paint. Alas, I have to push on and keep on practising(thanks for the boost and reminder). Besides, I have invested far too much money to give up for real.
@shootingstar03125 ай бұрын
your videos really inspired me to try to paint more with base coats instead of just using contrast paints
@TableTopReadyYoutube5 ай бұрын
awseome. you can achieve a lot more with the acrylic paints, but I do also love the contrast pants as well. I would just stick to using the macragge blue base colour rather than air. The air macragge blue is slighty different. or do you mean to use it instead of the spray? I'm not sure how well the air will be on the plastic. I always say try things out and experiment, see how you like it. everyone is different and I'm only showing how I approach it :)
@shootingstar03125 ай бұрын
@@TableTopReadyKZbin sorry, I Meant that I use the Macragge blue air, from the pot, as the second coat, after I primed it with Macragge blue rattle can, and I actually did notice a difference. The finish of the pot colour is noticeable, so it does actually work like you did with the base Macragge blue colour ^^

the more practice you do, especially highlighting, your hands become a lot steadier. Its all hand co ordination. its good to warm up and paint something not so crucial if yo get me

@TableTopReadyYoutube7 ай бұрын
That’s a very specific thing to do a video on. It’s not something I’ll probably do. My advice for you is to just worry about painting all your base colours with what ever colours you have from your paint set. After your done with that you can watch my orc tutorials showing all about shading and highlights for orcs. Don’t worry so much about exact colours. Work with what you got 💪🏻 good luck
