Great job, I like how the blue comes out at the end almost like a grey as is their 30k armour was.

The finish is excellent! I think this is the neatest figure you have painted yet.

Nice, your space wolves are the best! I love how you incorporate chaos bits. I know it's part of their fluff but I'm not familiar with it. Looking forward on more year of the wolf.

You could make cool conversions of Space Wolves with the heads of Fyreslayers from AoS i think.

If you can get hold of Fyreslayer heads at a decent price.

Would it make more sense to do the touch up with Russ Grey at the very end once all the paint is down or is it better to do it earlier?

Love your work, I don't know if you can answer this question, but here goes: I have painted a couple of marines with macrage blue, but I didn't like how the blue turned out with Mephiston Red, I want to try with Russ Grey, so how many coats would I need to get a similar grey color as you did in this video?
@bjrnhalfhand22587 жыл бұрын
HazelVandice he did 2 thin coats over a light primer. If he'd used "The Fang" over a black primer then "Russ Grey" the finish would be a bit different. He used "Russ Grey" over a light primer so it looks like this. The Mephiston Red and Averland Sunset will also have a bright finish because they're over a light colour. Mephiston Red looks a little different painted over light colours than painted over dark colours like black.

Hi, great end result. Would it be ok to use corax white for the undercoat or would you still recommend the rustoleum primer?
@TheApatheticFish6 жыл бұрын
Corax white is great. any light color will help you with painting the power armor easily. Starting from black would be harder

will there be more tips and tricks how to paint night lords
@TheApatheticFish8 жыл бұрын
What would you like to see? I try to do different factions and color schemes to cover more ground and often avoid painting the same color scheme multiple times unless the models are vastly different or I need to re-do the video because I think it's outdated or bad.
@notworldwarthunder20358 жыл бұрын
+TheApatheticFish I think the new 40k night lords camo because I've seen you do the 30k dreadnought
@lazerwaffle58638 жыл бұрын
+TheApatheticFish why not some seraphon/lizardmen ? they're always really beautiful and vibrant, wich gives a lot of painting options

If I undercoat with the fang spray first then used Russ grey layer would I still have to apply multiple layers of Russ grey or would one work
@bjrnhalfhand22587 жыл бұрын
GlitchCreep The Fang is quite a bit darker than Russ Grey. Also The Fang is a base paint and Russ Grey is a layer paint. You'll likely need to do 2 thin coats of Russ Grey over The Fang.
@DesWCEN8 жыл бұрын
Do you have to paint them that light bluish grey? Or can you make them darker?
@WodenIstWotan8 жыл бұрын
Of course! You can paint them whatever way you want my dude. They are your minis after all! Personally I think they look better darker.
@boba35977 жыл бұрын
I'm going to buy Space Wolves and my original plan was to paint them in my favorite color, yellow, but I decided something like dark ice blue. I wanted the color scheme to fit with the Icy/Norse-like marines background and look. Of course you should paint them how you see fit.

So what makes a Space Wolf a 'grey hunter' rather than something else?
@mythicaldakka6 жыл бұрын
Space Wolves Grey Hunters are their Tactical Marines. They carry the boltgun and wear red and black on the right pauldron. They are more experienced than Blood Claws (Space Wolf neophyte Marines, and more or less Assault Marines) who are only allowed pistols, and wear yellow and red on the right pauldron. Grey Hunters who live long enough become Long Fangs (Devastators) and use heavy weapons and wear black and white on the right pauldron. Any of these who distinguish themselves in battle (i.e. crazy heroics, because Vikings) can be promoted to Wolf Guard, who wear yellow and black on the right pauldron and get the pick of the armory, including Terminator armor.

what is the water ratio for this ? thanx in advance
@TheApatheticFish7 жыл бұрын
depends there is no one ratio that will work with every paint but its about 2:1. two parts paint to 1 water. but depending on how thick the paint is you should try to use a workable thickness of paint that you will get familiar with. where it doesn't lose as much opacity but it flows and goes thin when you apply it.

nice paint job, but haven't you heard that space wolves are too bad badass to wear helmets lol
@TheApatheticFish8 жыл бұрын
I'm not into the space wolves lore really. We War hounds have our grievances with them pups. But really I did it because I wanted to cheat a little bit and save some extra steps explaining how to paint hair and skin. but those you can see how I do them in other videos. so no big deal. the video was long enough without them.
@josephmcconnell89058 жыл бұрын
+TheApatheticFish I was just kidding really many of them do wear helmets but I think they look more viking like without them so I have none in my army :)
@TheApatheticFish8 жыл бұрын
I know. I was kidding as well. hope I didn't sound mean. they doo look very viking and cool without helmets. but mainly I wanted to use less colors for the tutorial becaus people complain I use too many colors and the video would be even longer. But its all good. Thanks for the comment! :)
