Great job, it doesn't look like a wargaming mini I think chipping should be focused around hatches, bolts, ladders and so on

that would make a nice dreadnought conversion ngl

I feel like you’re supposed to dip the model in the quick shade then violently shake it off until it’s really only in the recesses

It's tough to do with larger models. That's why we recommend the "Splash-On" technique as Wyatt so expertly showcased in this video.

Your painting is always well done based on the other videos of yours that I have watched. Since you are painting this to have a realistic look based on WWII, I would like to make a few suggestions for you for future WWII projects. The ammunition box on the side of the M2 .50 cal Browning Machine gun should be the same olive drab used on the vehicle. These ammo boxes also had yellow lettering on the long side facings to indicate 105 .50 CAL Linked APIM8 and a lot number (Requiring a decal if you have one, otherwise I wouldn't worry about that detail). One other suggestion is to use dirt, carbon scoring, and scars from impact deflections rather than rust on your weathering. These vehicles were built with the expectation that they would only last a few minutes in combat. They were brand new going into combat, and would not last long enough to rust. It was common for US tank crews for instance to go through several tanks during the coarse of the war due to breakdowns, or the tank being destroyed. Aside from that, It's nice to see this diversion from warhammer 40k. I am hoping that you have more battlemechs from the Battletech boxed set to paint in future videos. I am enjoying your channel. Thanks for doing it.

He is demoing a paint set and only using the paints available in that set. I'm sure that limitation was really challenging.

this looks great!

That came out looking crisp. I think I'll buy that paint set and do a imperial knight warden the same way.

It feels like once you hit it with that thick wash it decimated most of the paint job. Felt like the dry brush was a last ditch attempt to bring it back! Was there no way of thinning that wash?

I thought the same thing. But after that dry brush I was blown away at how good that came out.

if i was'nt sticking to the "only box stuff" challenge, i would have used the normal army painter wash. the old quickshade dip isnt good.

Jack Of Clubs Painting the final result was good but it looked like it took a bit of work to get control of that coffee staining.

Aren’t you supposed to dip it and then shake it violently off?

You can thin down the Original Quickshade Dips with mineral spirits, just a little bit at a time until you get the consistency that you want.
