You did it again with that last set of trees. I thought you'd lost it (shows how little I know), then like magic, there's a brilliant scene. 👏

I know that this video was done a few years ago but have just come across this wonderful demonstration. It has taught me a lot and am eager to get started practicing these techniques. I was hoping though that the one tree I’ve been having problems with, the weeping willow, would have been included, but alas, it wasn’t. The weeping willows I have been practicing look somewhat like the tree but more on the cartoonish side, not at all what I’m after. I wonder if perhaps you might do a demonstration on this particular tree. For me they are a very difficult tree to paint and have it look good. I truly need some direction to help me figure out what I’m doing wrong an help me correct it.

Excellent Paul! I really enjoyed this, you've managed to pack so much information in this short video from brush strokes, colour mixing, light and shade (and where not to paint the shadow, lol), to creating a delightful little countryside scene. I particularly like the elm? tree, bottom left, I can almost hear a couple of old crows calling from the branches! Really well done and helpful, thank you x
