What is the alternative if you do not have a duller to add to your paint? Can pant thinner work?

The duller is just what makes your paint more matte rather than glossy, so paint thinner wouldn’t be doing any of that. You would just need to find the appropriate finisher

I would say test a small amount of paint and see …maybe start with 1 part white to 3 parts black and adjust from there?

Can the krylon matte finisher be used on all fabric or only mesh? I tried it on leather and some of my paint leaked or do you know the reason why?it went from pink back to white

Yeah you can use it on all materials bud. I’m not really sure what happened without seeing it, but maybe you sprayed too much? So do some lighter coats

Sweet info. Whats the timeframe you have after painting an area to heat it and still keep it soft? And does it stay 100% soft cuz mine seem to be flexible still but not as soft

Anytime you paint a fabric you have to assume it’s going to get a little more stiff, but you just gotta do everything possible to keep that minimal.. immediately after finishing a coat whether it be by hand or airbrush you should heat set

So I've never really gotten a clear answer from anywhere regarding the temperature, distance, and time needed to heat-set. My heat gun has 2 settings, 750 degrees and 1000 degrees. Which do you recommend and for how long? Thanks in advance!

You could always add more heat if necessary so we recommend using the lowest heat setting and keeping it 4-8 inches away from your shoe and constantly moving it if you keep it on the same place of the shoe for too long you WILL burn it

Welcome! A lot of times clients will send them in or were just using regular major retailers like footlocker or secondary markets like stockx

To be honest it’s highly highly recommended as you’re ensuring a much cleaner result.. you could try with a paintbrush but it’s just wayyyyyy more difficult

I would try picking a heat gun up... you can get em under $20.. nothing else is gunna do as good of a job. A blow dryer would kinda work. Angelus makes great brushes that we used for this video. Their flats are our favorite

Make sure you prep that area extra extra well! An additional tip that we'll give you is possibly dyeing the surface underneath

You think possbily sanding and/or adhesion promoter would be a great way to really go the distance? This is what I worked on imgur.com/hpTJ1zp. I have been wearing it through the week at work and the only issue so far has been cracking where the toe bends. Also a little chipping on a couple edges, but I know for sure I didnt prep that part well enough. Its all trial and error from here on out. Watched all your videos before going out and doing it myself. Really very appreciated :)
