You did an excellent job! I had a yellow '10SS and painted my calipers exactly the same way but I put my black brembo decals on directly before the first clear coat. Great job tho. Had mine for 3years, held up phenomenally perfect, never flaked or dulled out even after changing pads and rotors a year later after painting BUT I removed my retainer pins and springs before painting in lue of that

general23cmp honestly I would say it’s not worth it. It’s not noticeable and once your wheel is back on it looks exactly the same.

MR.M00RE TV 919 I just aligned it so it’s straight and I did one light coat of clear coat but you don’t have to you can just put the sticker on

Johnny Ramirez it took a long time but it was my first time doing that. So to do it the quickest way you would have to lift the whole car and paint them all at the same time because you have to let it dry. It’s frustrating to if you’re a perfectionist on your car like me. But you just have to be patient. I would say if you do them all at the same time you’re looking at about 2 to 3 hours

Looks nice but this would have been a lot easier if you just removed the calipers, it really is very easy to do. Just open one of the bleeders, press the brake pedal to the floor and use a piece of wood or something to keep it depressed and that will prevent all the brake fluid from leaking out while you have the lines disconnected. Having to paint in the wheel well and masking everything off like you did is actually a lot more work.

And your brake lights will be on the whole time? Just wrap brake line at caliper with a piece of cardboard before you detach it and clamp with a small Vise Grip. Use cardboard so Vise Grip won’t damage the line.
