The technique and speed with which you achieved this result is simply astounding, I love it! The only small gripe I might have with this one is that pretty much all of the colours are on the same level of desaturation. One or two places with vibrant yellow, red, or purple could make it pop even more. But that's just my very humble and subjective opinion.

How long is a typical "hobby sitting" for you? Is that the average amount of time you paint each day?

Hey Martin, so this “sitting” would be like when you get a day to chill out and paint. Or comfortably done over a week of a few hobby evenings. Probably 5-6 hours total paint time, but it’s hard to tell when filming it!

Yeah just get him all built and crack on. There's a few tricky areas, but they were worse for trying to film than actual paint.

As an alternative to oil washes from maybe the contrast range would a camo wash work? I’ve struggled using oils in the past

Do you feel the ultra matte is less robust than other varnishes?

Matte will always be less robust than gloss. If you need tons of protection then gloss first and then matte over the top.

No, built the whole thing then primed. It goes together in quite a clever way but would leave certain join lines i didn't want. It made it trickier to get to certain places, but as this wasn't a competition piece or anything I dint mind.
