I passed the advanced driving course with a F1rst and I honestly couldn’t of done it if it weren’t for these videos. I am training for the advanced motorcycling test and eagerly waiting for the motorcycle videos to be released. Thanks for the great content!

Thank you Reg for your videos on how to pass the advanced driving test. I watched all of them, then signed up with my local group. I've only taken the introduction drive and one observed drive and am ready for the test. My observer - a Class 1 advanced police driver, was a bit surprised on how I've managed to get to 1s in almost every category so quickly, including doing a commentary throughout most of my drive. It was because of your videos and lots of practice (the commentary drove my Mrs a bit mad). Once I've got my advanced test done looking forward to doing the Masters :)

When I first decided to go for my test, I did the usual search on You Tube for advice and, coming across your videos from six years ago, I found they were absolutely invaluable and a mine of information. Between your videos, Ashley Neal, Learn to Drive Travis and Conquer Driving, I picked up so many valuable tips and tricks. Now I have passed my Advanced with RoSPA (before Christmas), I am seriously considering taking up Driving Instruction as a career and doing my ADI exams. Thank you Reg.

Nice video, I a trained in the army and did various strange driving courses, ended up doing my blue light course, it was an eye opener. My instructor was like Gandalf behind the wheel, on the first week he made us drive five miles an hour below the speed limit. This meant you had more hazards and suchlike on the road and you approached these all the time. It was brilliant, when we did the fast car sections of the course it was terrifying at times. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Sadly I was medically discharged several years ago, and have had to go to an automatic. I am thinking of booking some time with you to sort out my bad habits. Because on the first day in the classroom, we had to sign for our roadcraft books and pams, chief instructor came in and on the board was written (this was years before powerpoint) Driving is a privilege not a right. Been watching your series over lockdown and have decided I need to have a long hard look at my driving, which as a disabled chap I think important. So you may be getting a call from me just prior to summer. Thank you for a great series. Lots of nodding head moments,

Hello Reg.. you asked to be notified if your videos assisted in getting through an advanced test. I do not fall into that category as I passed my IAM test about 30+ years ago and then became an Observer and Senior Observer thereafter. Having discovered your channel I have watched all videos, other than those for bikers. It was an absolute pleasure to re-awaken my advanced learning experiences by watching your channel and I thank you for that. I must admit that watching you drive the autobahn had me on tenterhooks, though. Not for me, at my age (74). Thanks again for a superb series of videos. I may well watch some of them again in the near future.

Thank you for all your work. I am a National Observer on bikes and hold Masters (D) in both bike and more recently car. I use your videos and your huge experience as a reminder and “sharpener” for my own driving and riding as well as recommending specific videos to associates under training. All top drawer stuff which helps with my motivation to continue to share what I’ve learnt to improve safety, confidence and enjoyment. We are all always learning; thank you for these user friendly videos…surely worth at least a million subscribers!

I did my first I.A.M test in 1974. Throughout the years I've done many other advanced driving tests. I've had bronze, gold, done the Diploma with Rospa. It's a great experience.

So important to enjoy this whole process! Your sense of joy comes across in all your videos, Reg. That and your depth of knowledge keep me coming back for more. I have taken the plunge and enrolled for an IAM Masters course. Your videos have really helped and inspired me, and thanks also for your very helpful answers to my questions. Brilliant!

Appreciate the content Reg. I purchased both of your books on Kindle and recently purchased the later one hard copy. I purchased a manual ride in December and have been watching your vids and trying to incorporate all that I can over time. If I was in the UK I would definitely have made the investment in some road time with you. Keep it up!

Thank you for uploading this great content! I take notes when watching your videos, then I bring those points with me when driving. Not for taking an advanced driving test or anything of the sort, but just looking to become a better and safer driver. Your videos have taught me a lot, keep up the good work!

A brilliant orator, your method and professionalism excels John. I have watched your videos since the beginning and having spent the day with you, I have found out by experience how good your instruction is. It certainly helped me to complete my Masters with distinction. I am a national observer now and every candidate I have, the first thing I do is to get them to watch your videos. Thank you very much for your time and effort in helping make the roads a safer place by giving candidates the confidence and encouragement to commit to road safety. I blame you for making driving enjoyable again so much so I now have a new BMW135i Xdrive.

Brilliant series. Thanks Reg. I’ve been reinvigorated to really focus on my driving and have been enjoying myself a lot, going out to practice early Sunday mornings having watched each of your videos. Interesting you mention motorcycling… it was learning to ride a motorcycle that first inspired me down the Advanced Driving course. Seeing things through a motorcyclists eyes made me an almost instantly more aware driver. I had to go to the IAM and start exploring that…

Hi Reg Thanks for your very instructive video's. They were a great help to me getting a 4 with the AA Advanced Test. It was to a very high standard with my assessor being a ex Met Police instructor. Who said he would prefer if I gave comentry for the whole assessment. My comentry is not great. He was impressed by my drive thanks to you Reg thanks again.

Thanks Reg, your videos have been invaluable. I put in a lot of late night viewing and used them to supplement my Observer's advice and it paid off because I very recently got a F1rst. But not only are the videos educational, they are also very enjoyable to watch, and that encourages further viewing. I passed my test in my petrol/self-charging EV hybrid and your comment that you hope to make a video on EVs was tantalising to say the least and I look forward to watching that in due course. Thanks again!

Hi Reg, just thought I would post back an update to my earlier post. I passed with a First. It was challenging, I had a serving Police Advanced pursuit driver take my test and he was very on point and picked up every little detail. I couldn't have done this without your videos (I actually watched your Masters demonstration drive so that I could aim 'higher') and my amazing local IAM group. I'm trying to stay grounded as I know I'm near the bottom rung of the ladder in terms of advanced driving as a whole. I'm very much looking forward to doing the Masters and continuing to improve my driving as there's always more to learn.

Hi Reg, Thanks for this brilliant series, it has been a big part of the reason (along with a great Observer) that I passed my IAM last Fri. Yes, it was April 1st, but apparently I was one a daft error away from a F1rst. TBH it is a problem I know I have: Being colour blind the red on limit signs does not pop for me and is all but invisible against a dark green background. I spotted a 30 sign, from a national, very late and had to brake pretty hard, missing a mirror check although I could see the guy behind's DRLs in my peripheral vision. Preyed on my mind for the rest of the run, but the examiner's comments at the end of the run were very fair. Still, it was a pass, and your vids made a big difference. Should we ever meet, I owe you a pint.
