Don't be too intimidated by it. I was and I passes the first 2 subtests the first try by studying using the cliffnotes.

@@davidparada1307 I concur! That was my mistake 😅 Passed two of the three on the first try but was so exhausted that I sped through the mathematics one and failed! Give yourself the time to succeed and you'll do great!

Thank you for this video. I failed the RICA 3 X already. I feel like the sample questions Pearson/RICA gives are easy and I can automatically see which ones are not the correct answer. I then can select the right one. But the actual test isn't that clear cut. I've received 200 as my maximum score. It's frustrating as hell!

I had to read the Ready for Rica book for one of my classes in my teaching credential program. I also took a linguistics class in undergrad so I feel like I will do well on the RICA.. hopefully. I want to finish my CSET tests before I take the RICA but thank you for this video!! I will come back to this video when I figure out when I'm going to take the RICA.

I like the video. I would ask that you slow down and pause more often. I found myself pausing the video to reread the info. It was helpful and I thought you had a nice, soft voice which made it easier to listen. I would like part 2.

Maya, do you think you could do a video on how to do the RICA video test? I felt my video was good but it fell short a few points. The feedback I got was that my Central Instructional Objective was precise enough. Also, that I did not show enough assessment. great Mic! i'm teaching over zoom and i'm yelling a lot! My own kids are wondering why i'm speaking so loudly. Teaching to 5 year olds is difficult for a preschool/TK teacher, and I believe this mic would be able to get attention quickly. Attention getter's , which is what I need, is what I feel is more useful for student-teacher practices.
