A super tutorial. It's really great to work with CeltX. I have only one problem. I hope you can give me a tip. In the middle of a scene, it often jumps to a new page. Then there is this line and I can no longer move it. This creates many half-full pages that I can no longer fill.

Thank you. This is really helpful. One question: if I generate documents, for example, a shot list or call sheets, but then decide to make some script adjustments, do those changes to the script automatically get adjusted in the call sheet and shot list?

Nice presentation: concise, understandable, and informative. If a script breakdown is done in First Draft can it be imported and usable in CELX and vice-versa?
@chinfat3 жыл бұрын
Yes. Most screenwriting software is pretty good and understanding PDFs. Just export to PDF in Final Draft and then import to Celtx, or vice versa.

It's a great video, Can you compare Celtx with Yamdu & Studio Binder. I am so confused to select a software among these 3.

It would be interesting to know what other software professionals use for this process. That might be a good video, in going through some of the more commonly used programs. While not technical, and your vids are great for this, I recon it would be useful to know.

For most Hollywood films, Movie Magic Budgeting and Scheduling is the industry standard software. I'm not as familiar with that software, or I would do a tutorial on it.

hi, if the script breakdowns you did were for animations, would there be a difference?
@chinfat3 жыл бұрын
Interesting question. I suppose it would. But all the tagged items would be items you'd have to create within the animation (i.e. props, costumes, etc.). I imagine it would help if there was an art department. They would create all the props, costumes, sets, locations, etc. in the animation software and show it to the director for approval.

@@chinfat thanks a lot appreciate the answer.

@@thelockofgapa No problem. Unfortunately, I have never worked on an animation project. But as I understand it, they treat the pre-production process in a very similar manner... especially in the art department. They'll even have a director of photography and a lighting designer working on the production.

@@chinfat me neither but I'm working on one now so basically decided to register all non dialogue sound ie movement, ambient sound as soundfx and all non prop items as set... no set dressing

Hey Chan. Are you still gon do proxy Prores workflow tutorial?
@chinfat4 жыл бұрын
I can likely get one out tonight. Are there any specifics you want in the tutorial? Type of camera or specific situations?

@@chinfat Just like this vid you did 2 years ago: kzbin.info/www/bejne/a4rXdnd7gpqGp6c. You coverred many important things like creating a preset, audio. Prores I think deserves one, the old one was cineform. Alot of ppl could benefit from this as there are not eleborate videos on this topic and you break it down like a pro. Thanks Chan. Oh the cam is gh5 shooting at 4k. 10bit. Prores 422

How in the world can I save a Celtx file in Final Draft?
@chinfat2 жыл бұрын
You print it out as a PDF and Celtx will import PDFs.
