The Split Stance Deadlift is a great strength builder for BJJ.
It works multiple muscle groups through the hip and back, while placing demand on coordination and balance. We love it because the combination of strength and coordination has a great carryover to BJJ
The Split Stance Deadlift features heavily throughout our Standards Program for this reason. In that program it’s used as the bridging exercise between the conventional deadlift, and the single leg deadlift.
