How to Photograph Artwork without a Glare

Ugh taking photos of artwork without a glare can be so frustrating! I have been trying to figure out a good technique and I've finally found one that just uses a little black paint and a piece of cardboard to make a glare-free setup.
If I can finally manage to get good shots of my resin layered 3D oil paintings then I’m sure you can too!

Great video .. can you advise as to what is a good camera to buy for taking photos of resin paintings for producing very large prints ? Thanks so much 🙏🏽💓🌸

Thank you! Unfortunately I don't really have a great recommendation for a camera. I've been using a Canon t5i with the lens it came with and it has worked fine enough for me but I'm sure it's far from the best. I have personally never had luck with blowing up an image larger than the original painting or drawing so I keep my print and products at the same size or smaller,which I think is why my standard Canon has worked out well enough. Sorry I couldn't help more!

What do you mean? The video is just about taking a photo. How is this not environmentally friendly?

@@CaleighBirdArt I'm responding to the materials, not the process of using them. I doubt if either the black enamel or the spray paint is environmentally friendly. I don't know the composition of the either layer of paint, but I'd be surprised if they were composed of recyclable materials, or if they didn't contain harmful hydrocarbons . Maybe you do know--it might be on the packaging (which itse3lf may not be quickly degradable). Wouldn't it be interesting to use non-reflective materials that don't rely on dangerous chemicals, and do degrade rapidly?
