take DEs or APs online if possible, if not just take the most challenging courses available to you, including honors obviously and higher level maths/sciences/etc. an increase in extracurriculars would also likely improve your chances of

⁠@@CeciliaDiori took ap spanish lang in 8th grade as a non-native and i had NO IDEA what i was doing, i didn’t even fully comprehend what AP was as it was right after quarintine. However, I was still able to pass it with a 3, you don’t need very advance ass language to pass, but if you want a 5, you probably need to be a native or study a LOT.

I have 2.7 gpa unweighted and i need a 3.0 unweighted to take AP or DE classes. however I picked AP psychology as my 1st elective choice (chances are I won’t get in) i also picked 2 core honors classes (earth space and us history) along with 1 honors elective course (creative writing 3; chances are I won’t get in since I never took writing 1 and 2)

Ib is similar to ap classes and you can get a diploma with it, looks good for college. I am currently going for the ib diploma but I do have to say it's stressful bc unlike ap you also have other stuff to do then tests :)

IB stands for international baccalaureate its international for full diploma you have to write a long essay do a project take a class about why we know stuff along with classes with the choice to take two sciences or an art. I have friends that mixed and matched AP IB and aren’t very stressed but full diploma is stressful but it’s good if you have a good advisor and aren’t just taking it because you can.

I go to an IB school and it's a program based a lot more on "how you think". It's like a college course basically, and it's more conceptual.

IB (international Baccalaureate)Im pretty sure it ranks harder so if you get a higher score it can rank you higher. Im not sure about this in the US but thats how it works in Australia so thats my best guess :)

It's a more well-rounded education. It's harder than just taking a few APs and is starting to look really good in US college admissions. It's hard, but you do challenge yourself at the end of the day.
