I really wish I'd seen this before playing with my new machine yesterday, I stitched a couple of blocks on the wrong edges and it took me ashes to work out what was wrong so I will remember your tip with the pin for next time!

What do we do if the middle seam does not line up perfectly? Can we rectify it or just live with it?

+Susan Webster - It's really up to you. Because we're going to quilt over this area with a sun motif, I'd leave it because it won't be noticeable in the center of the block. But if it really bugs you, take a second to pick out the seam about 1 inch on either side of the center, repin, and stitch again carefully. It's totally up to you!

Leah, do you every have shading from the darker fabrics showing under the lighter fabric due to pressing your seams open? I'm slow to the party and just making this quilt now.

Yes, occasionally that's an issue. I mentioned it in I believe Block 11 when we had Flying Geese units with the darker color under a lighter color. We solved it by leaving in an extra layer of fabric. So when and if it happens, watch the video and I'll share a fix. That kind of thing really makes me crazy!
