The editor for these videos is brilliant, the little things don't go unnoticed! I've been watching these for Calle's personality more than anything! The Endurance is by far the best tent I've ever owned.

You mention in some posts below to have the short end into the wind. With the Abisko Shape 3 would that mean primarily having the vestibule end (front) into the wind? Maybe the back into the wind in higher winds?
Жыл бұрын
Hi, You want to have as small area as possible facing the wind, so that means the short end facing into the wind.

I suggest you could add a section for packing the tent in the end (your main nordic competitor does that)

Hi. Does the concept of facing the tent, end first into the wind also apply to the Abisko lite 1? I’ve seen vids on YT were the tent is facing the wind side on. Cheers.
Жыл бұрын
Hi, Yes, that is correct, short end facing into the wind

Good tips, thank you for sharing, I have the Abisko Lite 1, I was wondering which side should be facing the wind and also I have noticed you have got the guy lines in angle and not in line with the tent pole, is there a reason for that and also which is the foot end of the Abisko Lite 1 ? Regards, Florin Sirbu
Жыл бұрын
Hi, Pitch the tent with the short end facing into the wind. It does not really matter which one of the short sides is facing the wind. The guylines on the corners are pitched in an angle and it creates a stronger set up.

Hi nice video, would be nice to know how to pack the tent again. Just bought a Shape 2, getting it out of the bag is easy. But do you stuff it back in or roll it again and then put it in?
@northernswedenstories1028
@northernswedenstories1028 3 жыл бұрын
Just stuff them. Absolutely no need to fold nylon or polyester tents. Only dyneema tents need folding

@@YvesDeziron in fact it is dangerous to fold your tent. If you are in a storm and need to pitch your tent it is much more safe to have your tent stuffed in the bag with the two rear pegging points sitting at the top of the bag so you can immediately peg them down on strong wind, instead of having to search for them and your tent flying all over the place. For long term storage of your tent you might want to keep it in a larger storage bag, nicely folded, in a well ventilated area to keep it in good condition. But when out on a hike forget about it! 😜

Just got my Abisko lite 2 😁. Can you confirm if windy you should pitch the tent facing the wind eg vestible end into the wind and feet end pointing away from the wind. This would mean the taller end of the Abisko lite 2 is first to get the wind. Is that correct ?
2 жыл бұрын
Hi, Pitch the tent with the short side towards the wind.
@Supersam220

Hey Fjallraven Team, does the ground straps for Abisko Lite 1, 2 and 3 needs to be adjusted/tensioned after pitching? A video regarding that would help, tried to get some help towards that but to no avail. My Abisko 1 Lite ground straps are too loose no matter how much I tried to have it pitched correctly and I was wondering if I am missing something. Regards, Florin
Жыл бұрын
Hi, Usually the adjustment in the fox feet is rather loose, so once you have pitched the tent you simply tighten it
@FlorinSirbu.
@FlorinSirbu. Жыл бұрын
@ It might be that coz I have never tighten the fox feet strap after pitching, that could fix the problem. I'll certainly do that next time. Thank you for taking time and for the advice. Regards, Florin

Abisko lite 2, vestibule end into wind or rear end into wind? Lots of people pitching vestibule into wind but logic would say rear end ?
2 жыл бұрын
Hi, The important thing is to pitch it with the short end facing the wind. But of course in higher winds it is a bit more practical to have the rear end facing the wind since the vestibule is less exposed.

Can this tent fit someone like me at 2 meters tall with a sleeping pad? I hate having a wet sleeping bag every night from touching the tent with my toes
4 ай бұрын
Hi, Our tunnel tents are 220cm or 225cm on the inner tent depending on the style, so they should fit in that case. We have the measurements on our website with an image on this data

Inside the tent, there is a extra one circle ring on the right side. What is that for?
@Sauromannen
@Sauromannen 2 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure but isn’t it the ring for attaching the rolled up door you mean? I have the same tent but haven’t noticed anything unneccesary. Edit: second thought, that is not a ring. If it is close to the ground it might be the ring to attach the optional footprint.

Just roll it in half once so there isn't guylines all over the place then stuff it. Easier said than done sometime I'll admit. If it's windy let's be honest you're just going to stuff the tent

I guess that is just because Swedes are very handy at things and can’t imagine that other people don’t understand how to assemble stuff. Just look at IKEA, you never hear a Swede complaining about assembling their furniture, just non-scandinavians.
