Planning a "backyard" wedding at my in-law's and this video made me feel SO RELIEVED! We have 60 guests, 3 bathrooms, a generator. It's in a rural area and the next house is a mile away so no chance of noise complaints. We did have the catering manager show up to make sure the barn could hold the number of tables we wanted + a dancefloor and that's something I 100% recommend. The best thing is that most of the costs ended up going into home improvement my in-laws were thrilled about and happy to pay for. We're 3 months away the cost of the wedding itself was VERY reasonable.

I feel like a lot of ppl don't consider what a backyard wedding actually requires. Like sure, my moms wedding in the mid 90s may have cost $1.2k total, but just for a tent and tables with chairs (before linens or decor) we're looking at almost that amount. And there's still literally EVERYTHING else a wedding requires lol Side note: Check if your city offers options to rent venues if your budget is the reason you're considering a backyard event. I found a gorgeous golf clubhouse that my fiancé are considering that's only $500 ($400 for city residents) for an entire Saturday, 8am to 11pm and comes with tables, chairs, and a kitchenette

I know this is an earlier video and I apologize if you've already talked about this. But in this video you talk about warning your neighbors about the par-tayyy you will have. Do you have to invite them to the party part of it or is it okay to just say "hey, we are getting married, sorry if we are loud... he re es some brownies"?

I’m looking to book a vbro venue traditionally rented for weddings. Not for a few more years but one of the best parts is they have a community parking lot across the pond, maybe a 5 min walk ( oh yeah there’s a beautiful pond ! Score ) and lots of electrical plugs around the deck. And because other people get married there so frequently, there is table and chair plans. It’s really awesome ! I know I’ll have to rent a tent just in case of the weather though. Hopefully don’t need to use it but better be safe than sorry. Its called 34 Brecken Ridge in Halifax, NS. Really adorable place. I love your videos so thanks for all the help !:)

I'm are having my wedding at a church and it almost feels like planning a backyard shindig. The ceremony part is fine (beacuse it's in a church) but the reception space is one big room (like really big) and since we are having cocktail hour I need to find a way to separate the space
