This was helpful! I’m a caregiver for my adult son with special needs and my days are hard to plan. I like the idea of the lists and larger time blocks.

I really appreciate that you brought up how folks with inconsistent days should use a list system as opposed to time-blocking! I try to do at least 3 things, and then maintain my basic habit trackers. It doesn't get too overwhelming, yet you're still making progress! ^__^

Alaina, you UNDERSTAND me so well! Thank you for recognizing that our brains work differently! I don't have a wildly variable schedule, but my energy level varies day to day, which means that I work out, grocery shop, clean, cook, and rest at different times throughout the week. I knew about work blocks, but it just helped to hear your validation that we are all different and therefore need different systems.

I absolutely love your videos, you tackle nuanced topics about how to actually use your planner. These little details are what help beginners like me to create a habit and not get overwhelmed ♥

I'm only 62, but between being retired, suffering from anxiety, and the isolation of the current Covid situation I had no routine whatsoever - everything went out the window and I was spending way too much time watching tv etc. Made the decision to pick a couple of things off the to-do list for the next day, and bingo! I have more energy and my mood is better, just from giving myself the smallest bit of structure to the day. Thank you for the 'push' I needed!

Very helpful video. I tried to make time blocking work but would get discouraged because every day was different. Thanks for the awesome useful content and not a bunch of fluff with stickers etc.

Your videos have been such an inspiration to me as the year closes out soon. I have already incorporated some of your ideas, the black and red pens, wellness tracking, and blocking time/lists to be more productive. Thank you for taking the time to film, edit, upload and publish all of this for us each week. I know it is time consuming and I greatly appreciate your efforts. God Bless! :)

Thank you! I sort of figure about the work in block recently when looking at a different weekly layout. I was like nah I need specific time but the way you explain it help gain perspective so I'll utilized that method until I can schedule it either dailies with weekend overview or like the time block you've shown. I appreciate that you mention about being flexible and showing ways of how to adapt to it especially since your is clear and isn't clutter on the schedule. I often felt like I need to fill in at least most stuff and I definitely don't recommend it because that's definitely stressful! Lol

Thank you! I no longer work, Im retired and so time blocking really isnt necessary for me. But I do like to have a plan for my day. The three blocks method sounds like it will work for me.

Absolutely adore your videos and content it's always inspirational informational and an encouragement to get your sh*t together lol. Because of my job my schedule is always a toss up with getting call ins and unscheduled shifts. Thought I wanted an hourly planner but currently working with a vertical calendar. You're suggestions on this video makes me think I'm already in the right direction with my planning since it's TRUE that I cant necessarily plan out my day by the hour might try suggestion of time blocking so I at least have a more personalized plan each day of to dos and priorities what I want to accomplish. Right now I have four lists for each day personal goals, work task list, work schedule and eating tracker. I think timeblocking will be an even more efficient way for me to organize everything I want to accomplish in a day. Because idle hands are the devils playground. And I definitely dont want that. Thank you again for all your content you make planning and organizing your schedule fun and inviting. Definitely an inspiration. Keep up the job work. Sincerely

Learning so much from you and recommending you to anyone who will listen lol! My days are unpredictable right now since Covid but I’m still using the hourly because I need the structure and know life will return to normal where I will need it some day. I am however time blocking for appointments, creating etc and then I will do a general block where I get my to do’s ✅ I do plan my entire week but also the day before...the week has things I know I need to do as well as routines. I add other stuff night before too. This works great 👍🏾

Can you share your planner when you travel? Like what's the routine like at Grandma's place? Or you visit your mom's place and staying there for a while? I find myself in bit of a bind to find a routine whenever I travel and especially get back into a routine after the travels
