Laura, I remember years ago you were putting together a hanging arrangement and when you were cutting the "lining" you accidentally cut the trailing plant, and immediately when you did that you and I gasped at the same time, you looked at the camera in astonishment and continued with the project. I think that's what I've learned most from you, accidents happen, but just keep going. Thank you Laura and Aaron for brightening up my garden life.🌼

"I've got more...." Surprise surprise! Please show us when you take it apart and plant it out in the garden. You inspired me last year to plant some perennials mixing with annuals in containers. I have never done that before. It was so nice in the fall to be able to put those perennials in the landscape. I hope I didn't do it too late and they come up this spring. We'll have to see. Thanks for all the fun ideas and inspiration.

Beautiful. My husband of 3 years opened the world of gardening to me. We found your channels and have learned a lot (I can name flowers and plants now). My husband and I made plans for this coming year, but he went on to be with the Lord the other night. It was a rapid decline within 4-5 weeks with an aggressive cancer. We loved watching, learning, and planning what we wanted to do each year. Value each moment with your kids, spouses, and families. God bless you all.

I need to pay more attention to baskets in thrift stores. This basket arrangement is gorgeous. You are so talented. I love these videos of arrangements. I’ve always wanted to learn how to make them and you are such a great teacher. I have been making more and more of my own plant and flower arrangements around the house and yards. You made me realize that it’s fun to buy plants intended for the landscape that can be placed in containers for a season with annuals for a fun arrangement until it’s ready for the landscape. This year thanks to you I will plant my own cut flower garden so I can make more arrangements in every single room. Thank you for posting this video.

I love using this technique! I wanted a nice sized collection of planters in front of my house, but struggled to find a nice looking style that I could afford multiple planters in. So I thought of doing this, and went down to Goodwill and bought a variety. Took them home, stripped and stained them, then hit them all with a spray paint sealer, and they've survived several years in the rainy Willamette valley. I've had a couple finally succumb to the elements, but then I just head back to a thrift shop and find and fix up a new one for cheap.

Living in zone 3 it honestly never occurred to me that people do planters or baskets before May 20th, which is our technical start to the frost free season. Without a greenhouse, I would be too scared to risk something as beautiful as this basket. I always tell people our perennials are so tough they grow their own fur and eat meat to survive. This winter we had almost a month and a half where the temperature was -34 to -43 C. Spring will be a series of surprises to see what comes back up. 🙏🌸🌹🌼
