How to Plasti-Dip your wheels like a pro! (with Metalizer)

In this video I will show you how to correctly coat your wheels with a plasti dip base (4 coats) and make them shine with Metalizer top coat.

I was gonna do some glossy black wheels with glossifier instead of just the plastidip base, but these really do look better just cause the car doesn’t look like its floating, it still pops!

I love seeing how stylish this car can get with the right parts and effort. I have the same one and I have to say it puts a smile on my face every day. Do you use a a ceramic coating? Anything else you do to take care of your paint? I find that because my car spends most of its time underground garages (home and work), as soon as there is any rain, brake dust that has fallen on it rusts and leaves little rust spots on the paint. It can get noticeable if you look a bit closely. I can wash them off if I handwash but its pretty hard. Cheers from Canada

Yeah man I wanted the red leather but I’m 50/50 now. I actually installed red leather seats in Jeep Wrangler JK model that I traded for the accord so I know they will look bad ass. I’m trying to do Racing seats, I think I know exactly how to go about it.

How has the gloss held up over time after dirt and washing? One thing I noticed with the copper metalizer even with glossifier, it never looked as good as it first did after awhile daily driving getting dirty and washing multiple times.

To be honest. The entire job came off in 5 days. I was gassing up and a small drop of gasoline fell on the wheels. I immediately washed it down but it weakened the dip. Normal driving caused the dip to peel from the wheel so it all had to come off.

I used flat black plasti dip that you find at autozone or any auto parts store. Then silver Metalizer. If you did it over glossifier it would work, still turn everything gun metal.

I can't find a powder coat that looks silver / gunmetal. They all turn outblooking like flat primer / grey. Did you ever do a powder coat? Seems to me you almost need chrome wheels with a matte tinted clear.
