Very well done. Wheels are not that diff than the Cayman S Sports I am about to do. Yeah...those spokes. You didn't mention what you recommend as a drying time between coats. Can says 30 min but DYC talks about 10-15.

Very sorry about late reply, drying time depends on room or outside temperature .At 18 degrees 10 minutes between coats and lower temperatures , just extend time, look for wet look to matt or satin look and you are ready for next coat thanks.

If I did this to my rims ....what clear coat can be used? Does it have to be and is there a plastidip clearcoat? Can you use the 2k clearcoat over plastidip metalizer

This is crazy. I searched plasti dip copper as im planning on spraying my wheels copper colour. The crazy part is i drive an impreza and my wheels are Prodrive P1-WRC wheels :)

+conor is p4p number 1 you always need a minimum of 4 coats of plastidip for good finish and durability. So because you are using black plastidip as base coat, you don't need 4 cans . 3 x aerosol cans of black and 2 x copper metalizer will give you a good finish and may give you 5 coats of dip when finished. at our current pricing : €101.00 euro Regards Paul

base coat must be plasti dip or full dip matte black, no idea what happens with gloss black paint

Hi Orlando, I do not think it will work but I have not tested, metalizer designed to be sprayed over the surface of plasti dip.

What would happen if I used a wheel cleaner on the rims with this on it

It depends on what is in wheel cleaner, so test a very small area. I just use car shampoo and soft brush and pressure cleaner. you can put aerosol 1 pack or 2 pack gloss or matt top coat and you can use any cleaner, but you need 7 coats of dip before you apply acrylic lacquer if you want to pee off full dip in the future. thanks PD

Hi, I have a black and silver powder coated rims, can I just use a gold plasti dip metalizer with 4-5 coats without using a black plasti dip base coat???

hi, all plastidip metalizers must go over a base coat of plastidip, metalizers will not work on its own. thanks PD
