I just wondered if you can do a triplet with a 1) Index down; 2) thumb down; 3) index up. I'm just learning and I have this book by Hal Leonard where he has instructions to do it that way. If you see this could you let me know. Your way seems to work better for me but what is the difference? Thanks.

Thank you Kevin! I’m definitely going to hit you up for some private lessons soon! I have been practicing every evening for an hour and a half or so. This past week I was doing the first two finger picking videos followed by this video. Next week I’ll be moving onto day 3 of finger picking. You have made learning the Uke during this pandemic so much fun man! Again, thank you so much! Ray

Hi Kev, Great lesson, I needed some tuition on the tripilite. I basically had taught myself what finger thumb combinations, I thought made that quick 3 beat sound. But this has a better sound, I like it a lot. Cheers from North Queensland Australia. I like it when you say smile. I suddenly smile and feel myself relaxing.

What was your process for practicing these? Glad to hear you’re feeling good about Triplets :) - Kevin
@aprilpartridge21504 жыл бұрын
@@AllForUke I didn't really have a process 🤷 that's probably most of the problem. I also play violin and bowing is much easier for me than strumming.

Love u sm and wish you more subscribers. You deserve it. Kevin, can u suggest any site with uke musical theory? I sometimes watch your videos, but don't understand you because of it. Tysm for your lesson Have a nice day Huge love from Russia

@@AllForUke I tried to find something about tabs symbols. Kevin, you do try your best to explain everything clear. I can find on my own. You can't do everything for us. I don't deserve you. Others I don't remember.

I’m struggling with this. When I’m strumming down with my thumb I can barely hear it. 😢
@AllForUke4 жыл бұрын
Try keeping your thumb parallel to the strings, using the side of it when you are going down. Go very slow and try to make each hit of the pattern the same volume. Keep me updated! - Kevin

I am guessing this is a ukulele tripelet, because a true musical tripelet gives equal time value to each note, whereas this is more like 2 1/16 notes and an 1/8 note.
