I'm just a self-taught singer m'self, but if you know the D shape positions (referring to CAGED theory) you can just hop in there at the D Maj 7 and you're rockin'. No counting required, just need to have a clue about CAGED theory. Great vid as always Sean!

Same thing happened to me , experimenting on that shape, its seems easy to make nice sounds. Thanks to this lesson, I now realize, its the relative minor of the major, 3 frets up on the 1st string, cheers mate !

I am a long time basic gutarist and working on strumming and chord changes just to noodle really makes me a better guitarist. That SC-10 would be a great guitar to take busking across the country. It’s a Martin so it’ll be good and doesn’t break the bank. I love my Martin SWDGT. Drop tunings sounds so dang good on it. Looking for another ‘tar though and I don’t wanna take it as it has sentimental value as well so def wil keep an eye and watch some more vids on that SC-10.

@@seandaniel23 it rlly is. I checked it out a good bit via other channels. As I was checking out to see if John Moreland released anything else from his new album i saw Billy Strings was playing Kurt Cobain’s Martin D-18. I couldn’t remember if “gramps” was a D-18 or not.

So would you say the difference in the difference is in the fact that you're not targeting you're not going to somewhere you're basically just blending and riding along with basically a passenger in the car you're not individually going somewhere separately is that the main difference cuz that's what it sounds like to me so it seems like something where you're kind of independently doing something that happens to work with whatever else is doing whereas what you're doing sounds like you're literally digging on the same jam
