This is absolutely killer, Sean gets through layers of depths using the simplistic language, as all his other videos do. Opens a lot of doors in just one video. No fancy setups, just a right amount of humour, and fantastic contents. Thank you so much for all the brilliant lessons!

The basic lesson is good. So much fast talk, back off on the coffee. An Irish Jew? You know theory and modes, yet you smirk at them. Teaching how to play songs and analyzing them works for me. For example, you might do a lesson on “California Dreaming” by the Mamas and the Papas. What key, what notes, what boxes to use. Scale discussion. Major or minor. Why and how to use. The flute solo is most unusual sounding. This is where a mode demonstration and discussion is necessary. See? This is how I would enjoy learning. Analyzing songs in detail. Not, 3rd finger, 2nd fret, bla, bla, bla. That does not increase musical understanding at all.

I was late in finding you on KZbin, but better late than never. Despite having seen and subscribed to so many guitar guys over the last decade or so, in reviewing your posts for the last couple of months I am amazed at just how much you've covered. But what is really cool is the way you do it. Even if it's an overview of things I've known about and played for years, you manage to put a fresh spin on them. Thanks again.

Thank you for this latest series of videos! I’ve been stuck with my scales (to the point where I was googling “why do we even learn scales”). These videos show practical applications that are so fabulous and are answering questions I had no idea I even had! Thank you.. I love the visualization of note locations in sets, what a concept!

Sean, I think this is only the third time I have ever written a comment to a KZbin video, but after watching a crazy number of your instructional videos over the last couple years, it is time for me to express my thanks for your help. Just as in the world of guitar, the key of G is the People’s Key, you are the People’s Teacher. I am just having one problem: I can’t decide whether I want to be as good a guitarist as you or as funny as you…

"Those are the kind of people, that just ruin a bag of mixed nuts". ROFL. And perfect sentiment for videos like this. Cause this is a perfect example of just playing the damn guitar and having fun, without having to 'calculate differential equations' in your head, even though it is firmly based in good 'calculus'.

@@seandaniel23 Thank you for your support. I need a lot of D-strings for my classical guitar and especially for my guitarlele. Maybe I do something wrong while playing...And I wear off my frets too fast. I´ll get a set to clean the fretboard. We are heading for a cold and maybe hungry Winter here in Europe. But I saw all this coming since the 70´s. People who become artists have a greater deal of empathy and see through, at least they used to. "Man in Black", "Eve of Destruction", "In the Year 2525", "Bad Moon Rising", "Have You Ever Seen the Rain", "Unfortunate Son", "Money", "The World Today is in a Mess"...I could go on and on..We need such lyrics again today. Many greetings from Germany (I was raised in Australia). I´ll take a closer look at your videos, although I saw some a while ago.
