Quick tip if you want to extent you’re combo with down air you can use you’re right stick to down air instead of doing it with you’re square button that causes you to fast fall most of the time

the charge neutral is for all the dash attacks in the game, jake pony, velma run, taz spin and whatever else, i found it works rly good, the jump back is good if you realise they're gonna do the attack late, you can put quick space between you and the enemy before and then cancel their attack with the attack part

My favorite combo with Arya: (Knife pre applied) Ground Neutral 1, ground up special, air up neutral, knife teleport, up neutral. Usually kills. Another one I like: (Already in the air) Down air neutral, up special, down air neutral

Only works if they are high damage, but not too high. Also you have to hit the knife before you can even do it.

I main Arya and one of my favorite air neutral combos is with LeBrons face stolen. His air neutral has a ton of horizontal carry potential as finishers for her combos.

Just a minor thing iv noticed that saved me as arya a couple times, her down special gives I frames, and can save you if your being pressured I honestly find myself using it more for that than anything else. Also he didn't mention that arya side special after the knife is gone is armor break and has priority over stuff like a taz spin making it really good.

The neutral light is more of a parry than an offensive attack imo of course it can be used offensively but it's very useful against characters that use dash attacks if you can read and react with the move in time

Great guide. I bought arya yesterday and at first I was struggling but slowly started to get used to her, still not too great though. But this guide definitely will help me practice combos better and the dagger I realized I was dashing to the enemy too soon, sometimes even before it hits them basically making that move useless everytime I used it. Question for anyone who knows the answer. Her dagger disappears if say it lands on the ground after a few seconds, does it also disappear if you land it into a character after a bit, like does it have a timer or no

i think with arya, one of the best perks you can have is one that reduces damage taken due to her having a higher damage intake with being an assassin

@@Tragedyval well I mean I havent properly looked into the stats of each perk yet, i only properly started playing yesterday, but from what I can see every assassin receives a higher damage intake which is very noticable, so I assumed with any assassin a reduction of damage intake would be good no matter how much?

@@jowsok + ground melee dmg and snowball every time. the third perk I tend to play around with. 3x jump is nice if you wanna juggle, speed is always nice or dodge speed or last stand or somethin . You don’t need damage reduction if you can out maneuver/cc/dps them down quickly, which is how she’s meant to be played. Idk that third I tend to base off the map for now. For example that perk that makes you not bounce/ricochet off walls so hard is super nice on haunted mansion. So many options lol 🤷‍♂️

I think Arya struggles hard against fin in particular it’s extremely difficult to get in on him cuz most of his stuff is longer faster and stronger than aryas and if you use the knife to get in you no longer have it for your combos

i do high damage output perks, plus the insta steal face when ringout. pumping out 300+ damage per game. Also, shes the perfect counter against Iron Giant, steal his face and just punish him with his own moves

If my experience her hitboxes are not nearly as generous as the rest of the cast. They don't linger as long if at all, and require precision so things are gonna look like they're missing (or clearly do miss when they shouldn't). Hopefully it's adressed as the game is updated.

Ayra's neutral Y is a nerfed variant of Marth's same button in Melee. In general she plays like a remixed Marth, but considering how OP og Marth was maybe they went too far in weakening it lol

@@jugo3480 yeah so she has two side specials. The one that throws the sword and you teleport to it. The other is this spinning move where she goes side ways and spins the direction you are pointing. I found that the spin move is very effective for combos

Arya just sucks because her attack boxes are so tiny compared to every other character. She also just doesn't have high DPS, her knifes cooldown is too long and most of her killing combos rely on her knife. She just isn't very good from a utility standpoint either, in combination with taking 14% more damage, just because she is considered an 'assassin' which means literally nothing in this game.
