I’m a crummy guitar player with a lightweight understanding of music theory…but those diminished harmony passages towards the end of the video were CRUNCHY and very cool. Thanks man. This is neat stuff.

John I am a guitarist beefing up my piano skills. Beautiful job unlocking this concept. Thanks for taking the time. Can I ask what software you use to present the keyboard and staff. Again great and generous work here. Format is super.

Great! Really appreciate you sharing this. Are you using the same diminished over all three chords of the ii-V-I? You really have a brilliant approach to this. I had read that Lennie Tristano taught his students to do the chromatic line with the thumb of the left hand like you are doing then John Lewis got hold of some of them and had to "break them of the habit," which I don't really get, because it sounds pretty fantastic. thanks!

This is one of the best video series I've seen on jazz piano. Are you going to cover half diminished?
