My god I think I finally figured out why my dmg is low… I wasn’t fishing KM procs during breath. I was told to just get as much oblits as I can during breath. I didn’t even think about using HB to proc a KM. Was spamming blank oblits until I got rime procs for a KM and then spamming blank oblits again until another rime… lmao wasn’t using the obliteration talent effieciently… thanks for the video… feel so stupid now

I just hope FDK gets a single target buff or a viable Rider spec. Cleave is pretty good still, but being ~300k behind on ST sucks. It could be easily achived by buffing BoS main target dmg or +20% obliterate and nerfing cleaving strikes to hit for 80% or something like that.

Is there a big difference between BoS and Obli builds for m+? I know BoS is the meta build, however I have really hard times to maintain breath in m+. Either the enemies are down within seconds, so that my breath feels wasted or the next pull is too far away, so that I can watch my runepower decline before the next group of enemies is reached. It feels very lackluster

How can i change the blizzard „weak Aura“ that shows the howling blast procs in the middle of the screen. They annoy me so much and you dont have them, but you have the killing machine procs? Ty! Edit: i saw you have them, but more transparent. Thats also helpful 😊

Is it normal for the BoS macro to not always cast Reaper's Mark if you press it with 0 runes? It seems like there's a delay between the runes being refunded and Reaper's Mark being cast.

Because the macro shows breath as the tooltip it’s shows it’s off the gcd because breath and pillar are off the gcd. If you press it when in the middle of the gcd your reapers mark won’t go off.

You can also just take reapers mark out of the macro and use it before pressing breath instead of another obliterate.

How do you feel about the design of breath in general? I personally hate just generating runic power by spending runes with two abilities from our normal 3 ability rotation. I really wish there was a more involved mechanic like, each time you spend runic power means you add 3 seconds to your current breath timer or something. I'm playing breath now with my m+ group and I love normal frost dk but breath feels like ass. Like I don't really have a problem executing on it (once I killed the habit of playing normal Frost *correctly* by weaving in runic power spenders and cancelling my breath), but it is about as fun to play as trying to keep a plate spinning on a 6 fps game.. The nature of runic power is that it goes up and down in chunks and it feels so clunky, not like watching timers tick down. If runic power ticked down smoothly like energy or a timer it might be different.

......... I thought that frost will be stronk af so i started tww as frost obli build.. Then breath became strong, but obli still playable. Breath became stronger -> Switched to unholy. Thanks for the video but this rotation and macros are really different compared to the one i use 😂 idk probably im doing it wrong. This is my opener with breath : Ab limb + Remorsless Winter + Reapers Mark then i use my breath macro which is Breath of Sindragosa + Obliterate and after that i use my pillar Macro which is Pillar + Howling blast + Empowered Rune + Trinket + potion and Raise dead ... But i feel i messed up my rune resources and my DPS outside of breath is not enough.

That pretty much is the “old” opener before 11.0.5 patch changes. Now after the updates , the most optimal is the one in the video . U want to use RM as late as possible and sync it with pillar because u can sometimes fish multiple exterminate procs while still buffed by pillar. Not a huge difference but optimal

is mark really worth a gcd in the pillar window? why not use mark before pillar, since you also guarantee that the explosion happens during the pillar window and you get an extra gcd in pillar

mark is a very hard hitting ability that generates KM. What can be worth more than that? You just trade 1gcd of other KM generators which deal a lot less damage for Reaper's mark.

Yeah I use mark before breathe to get as many oblits in during the pilar window but I think the difference in dmg is negligible either way

My wishlist for next patchs: * Reapers Mark replacing Pillar of Frost so we don’t macro. * Pillar of frost giving 2 Runes so we don’t sit before pillar windows * Icecap also reducing Breath/ERW cooldown, so we can have better sync on cds

Loving DK right now across the board but I’m definitely feeling a bit annoyed at how many gear stacks I need. Crit/Vers for Blood Crit/Mastery for Frost Haste/Mastery for unholy I get a lot of that is carried by rings and neck, but getting those all with sockets is like 10k gold each time. Oh well, first world problems.

@ I get that, especially with the sores build, but whether you should run sores build can really depend on your group comp. Like the group I’m more allowed to dps in as unholy tends to be better off if I go standard raid build. If the trash fights are fairly long then I’ll do comparable damage to everyone, but on pull at a boss I can crank that up to 1.5m dps while everything is rolling. Right now with tyrannical on every high key and groups often pulling small makes sores harder to justify. That being said I’m a sub 2500 DK whose group isn’t so much about pushing as just hanging out.

Used to be a time of a minute+ breaths anw after the the reaper nerfs you hit like a wet noodle outside breath should be fine in Raid if there are no phases where you do not hit anyrhing but m+ pugging your dmg will drop aot in a coordinated grp its still fine but not what it was unholy is a nice swap in some keys but you got 0 prio dmg outside abomination and your main pet you also dont really use crit so you basically need to have gear swaps rdy which is unrealistic fun thing for dk though you can live anything

I wish they just removed this ability, It's pretty boring Idk why ppl enjoy it and call it "engaging gameplay" when in reality it's mostly spamming Obliterate and having a good luck with procs; Doesn't really require much skill. I honestly wanted to stick to Frost because I thought Shattering Blade was gonna be the best build and it's very fun but somehow this damned ability Breath keeps coming back so I switched to Unholy after they nerfed mostly Shattering Blade and Breath didn't care about the nerfs and I must say this version of Unholy with Rider is the best version of Unholy I have played in years I hope they never make San'layn better for Unholy because Rider is just so good with Trollbane and extra mobility.
