51 years later, at the age of 80, Heikki Westerinen is still playing. He is rated around 2200 and drew against a FIDE-master in the Finnish Championship League last Saturday.

I've been a dedicated follower of your channel for several months now, consistently recommending it to fellow players I come across. I must say this is one of the best matches I've ever seen, and probably the best just after the legendary match between Mikhail Tal against Alexander Tolush. Additionally, I stumbled upon some chess games played by the brilliant Russian author Lev Tolstoy a few weeks ago, and it was a delightful experience witnessing his unique playing style. I understand this might deviate from your usual format, but I would be very eager to see you bringing some of his matches to this channel! Best wishes from Portugal!

Thanks a lot, I appreciate it. I've read some of Tolstoy's works, but haven't seen his chess games yet. I might make a video on his games in the future.

Another fun game and great analysis. Would you also consider showing some of young Kasparov's games? For example, Kasparov vs Palatnik (1978, Daugavpils URS)

At 12:20, even Bf4 was good, maybe better.

Is it from Stockfish? What is the line after 17...Be5? It is difficult to see why this is going to turn out better than the immediate d6.
@outstanding1448 Жыл бұрын
@@zelandakhniteblade5436, no, I thought of it. Assuming that Bf4 is 17 and black goes Be5, then take the bishop and the next move you have a free knight. I don't know what you wanted to say with d6, it was already played. I was wrong, anyway. Black could simply play Na6 and white doesn't have Nc7.

My advice to anyone trying to be great at chess: Be born a genius. And then youre gonna want to have smart, loving parents that see your genius and start you playing at a young age. And finally, stop chocking the chicken aka flying solo aka beaten the meat aka agitating the whacked up oversized one-eyed wonder weasel.

Keres should have been the chess champion, not Botvinik! It's a real shame for such a brilliant player.
