Outstanding how-to. Clear explanation of setup and mechanics. Good audio and video. I can't say how much I appreciate seeing a video by someone who actually understands the game he's demoing. Too many how-tos and playthroughs are filled with errors because they'e done by reviewers who aren't fully acquainted with the game. Not the case here. I'm hitting the Subscribe button now.

Wow! You flatter me! I can’t say I don’t make mistakes. I’ve made quite a few throughout my videos. I usually am able to correct them in the comments section or using “Klingon” subtitles. It’s difficult to be error free when you shoot without a script, but my goal is to recreate a feeling of being at the table with me as I teach, & I feel that teaching off the top of my head is better than using a script for that. I’m glad you enjoyed the video, and I hope you enjoy the game!

When I started the channel I had three primary goals in mind. 1) I want to teach games UNSCRIPTED, as though you, the viewer, are just sitting down with me at game night wanting to learn the game and I have to teach it to you. And 2) It has to be about the games, not about me. I could not find any "learn to play" channels that taught games in that way, even though that's how most people want to learn (In my humble opinion of course). I really appreciate the kind words. It's what keeps me making videos since the third goal I had was to never put advertising on my channel, so I don't make ANYTHING from this channel. It's a pure labor of love. I would have liked it if you explained the endgame scoring more. The rulebook states certain "maximum scoring" for each category that is confusing. It isn't specific if it is per God/category or per each card

The maximum scoring is per card. For example, each Mars card scores 2 VP per colonist you have on the board. Since the most colonists you could ever have is 6 (that's all there are of each color), the max scoring for each Mars card is 12 points. Hope that helps!

Mssquishi1 Thanks for the kind words! My "playthrough" videos (only two so far) have not been as popular. Maybe it's because I'm not as good at PLAYING games as I am at explaining them 😉. So I try to focus on rules videos, but with lots of gameplay examples to give viewers a feel for the game. But since you're a viewer and you want it, I'll try to make it happen. I've already shot the footage for my next video, a rules explanation for the Concordia expansion, "Salsa", so I need to edit and post that first. But I'll do my best! Thanks for watching!

Just bought this game and am excited to play it! You explained the rules in coherent way with a nice flow with it and the visual components were great! I wasn't sure if I caught it, but when a region produces, the players with houses in the cities of that region receives 1x goods that that city provides, right? Also, when scoring at the end, do you use the cards in your discard pile and your hand, or only in your hand?

That is correct. If you have a house, for example, on a city that produces silk, whenever the region that city is in "produces", you would receive one silk. For final scoring, you use all of your cards, both in your hand and discard pile. Thanks for watching!

I’m sure the money is called something other than “dollars”, but I just use the American monetary unit whenever I explain most games. It rarely makes any difference in terms of game play, and since I never use a script or notes, it’s just easier for me. Thanks for watching!
