Craps has long been my game of choice. I always play when I’m on board even though every cruise line I’ve been on limit odds bets to 2x. I always tell new players who want to play on a cruise to take advantage of of the free lessons that are offered usually on day 1 or 2 of the cruise. There are two key components of playing craps that the beginning player needs to know before playing live craps. You must know the payouts and you MUST know the etiquette. Practicing on line and learning the etiquette are the best ways to get started. The dealers are always happy to help but it’s always best to approach them when the table is not busy. Never walk up to a busy table and expect the dealers to teach you how to play. A craps table develops a rhythm and you don’t want to be That Guy that breaks the rhythm or commits a table no-no ( the reason to learn the etiquette before you ever play ) that pisses everyone at the table off ! Tony is spot on when he recommends the Color Up KZbin channel. No better place to get started! Cruise on!

Tony I’m really enjoying the way you are bring content to the show (towel animal cameos, craps). It’s keeping things fresh. Craps is my favorite game to play. Living here in Nevada it’s hard not to put a few bucks down on a table and enjoy the evening. Color up is a great channel to get info on playing. Thanks for the entertainment.

Thanks for my 2nd craps lesson. The first went like this...Walk up to goons at table. Ask how to play. Told to drop $5 on the table...Goon behind table slides $5 with a stick to him and pokes bill through slot in table... Uses stick to slide chip back to me....Goon #1 says "put it on the pass line"....I did... Goon #2 says throw dice all the way to the end... I did ... Not sure what I rolled but the guy with the stick took my chip back. Goon #1 says "wanna play again?" I said "Nah" and walked back to my slot machine. Your lesson was better.

Great video as always. In my experience the Casino may open at noon but the craps table usually doesn't open till 7PM or after....even if they only have 1 side open it takes 3 crew to run the game where other table games only require 1. Like to play after dinner till show time, watch the show then come back and test the fates for a second time. So looking forward to our first cruise out of Port Canaveral 28 FEB and then our second out of Port Everglades 07 MAR! Haven't been out since 2019....fingers crossed there are no cancellations and we stay covid free.

Tony what up dawg! Glad to see this vid. I have played craps off and on for like forever well since I was 21 so over 30 years. But I never really learned the basics. I just bet the field which seemed the best betting odds. I don't play a lot of craps on the ship I stick to roulette but going gambling next weekend in Oklahoma and will have a renewed knowledge before We go cruise in 90 days. This will help me be a bit more confident at craps on the ship and on land. Can you elaborate in a video on the casino perks programs if you have some knowledge on the subject? I heard there sre some sweet cruise deals involved with joining those programs.

Gotta roll them bones! Craps is some of the most fun I've had on a ship. The best part is that the minimum bet is typically lower than most land casinos. So in other words, you can still have a blast and be involved with less risk. We had to cancel our Feb cruise. 😩 Can't wait till I can get back in the game. Common Big Red!!

Thank you for this video! Can you please tell me what are the expectations and convention for tipping on craps?
@LaLidoLoca2 жыл бұрын
You can hand in a tip after a win, what I like to do is place a bet for the dealers. A couple times on this cruise I made a $5 bet on the 11 and it hit. The dealers got $80 bucks each time.
@jimklemens50182 жыл бұрын
You should tip $5 immediately when you start playing. Tell the dealer to put it in their toke box. Every 20 minutes, the dealers will change positions on the table. Tip another $5. If you have get a hot roll and win a bunch, tip $50 to $100. When you are done playing, tip another $50 to $100.

Tony, what seems to be the normal minimum bet on ships? I think I would like to try craps, but don't want to have to have a big bank roll to try it out. Also if you lose every bet how long would say $50. last?
@Craps711242 жыл бұрын
Most times....the "house" will only tell you starting out to bet the pass line. The advantage is in the houses favor even more once the points established. Thats why you cant take a pass line bet up once the points been established..it becomes a "contract" bet. Yet you can place a Dont pass before the points established and once it is...either pick it up or move it to the pass....they wont ever tell you this. I typically play a pretty easy system of 100 on the dont and either a 91 uptown or downtown depending on the point. If you dodge the 7 or 11 on the come out typically you make money even when the 7 falls right after the points made. Stay away from all center action...or prop bets unless ypure up and just want higher odds....such as hardways at 7 or 9 to 1.

To start with if I was on that ship and ended up in Bimini and had a flight out of Miami (or pick your s.e. Florida airport here) that was any kind of tight I would be royally XXXXXX off!! It does sound like they are going to have to cease operations so customer loyalty probably isn't uppermost in their minds but still... it might make me swear off cruising if I wasn't such a confirmed die-hard. Great intro to Craps. I'm a Craps player... that's it. Oh, I'll play a slot machine on occasion and a slot at the MGM Grand in Vegas gave me one of my best winning days. After dropping $200 on the Craps table in about 10 minutes I thought "That's it for today." I was headed out and I swear that slot machine called my name when I walked by. I stuck in a $20 and on the LAST pull I hit a Royal Flush with a payoff of a grand. So I dropped $220 and walked out $780 ahead. If I could do that every day...

Made it a mission a few years ago to learn craps for a cruise. Spent almost 6 months on an online simulation game, and watching videos. Ended up with a wrong side betting strategy, that won 75% of time on the simulation. Turns out that it didn't win on the cruise ship...and even worse...no one at the table liked when they lost and I won.🤪. Next time I just play with table...

JUST GOT OFF LIBERTY AND THOUGHT ID THROW THIS OUT TO YOU. MY HUSBAND CAME DOWN WITH COVID ON SHIP. HAD AN EXCURSION WEDNESDAY AND HE GOT TESTED ON THURSDAY. AN HOUR LATER HE GOT THE CALL HE WAS POSITIVE. I DIDN'T GET TESTED UNTIL THE FOLLOWING DAY AT AROUND 11 AND FOUND OUT I WAS NEGATIVE. I STILL HAD TO QUARANTINE FOR 24 HOURS FROM WEDNESDAY 8 AM TO THURSDAY AT NOON. THEN I WAS FREE TO LEAVE THE ROOM.
