Mate an Australian here, born in 62 I have always played my A chord with the ends of two fingers, the index and the middle fingers. Two fingers can hold down three strings easily no buzzing and can move freely to other positions no problems. A mate of mine told me to hold the strings down with one finger the middle one flattened like you would with your ring finger on a bar chord, I could do it but it was difficult. Love your content, lessons, knowledge and energy by the way. Keep on going mate.

I grew up with a huge sword over my head, Vietnam. We were trying to stop the war since I had a couple classmates that lied about their age, came back and one of them put a bullet in his head. For a band that had great songs to help in the movement to stop the war, CCR was really at the center. I'm trying to stop wars still, and there are many wars. I have John Fogerty songs for my inspiration, to give me strength. Great video showcasing his work. Leadbelly was such an inspiration for many guitarists.

Just a few weeks ago I copied the way you use the A chords (in a differtent video). I always had problems with this chord, but since then not anymore. Thank you! And CCR was my favorite band when I was young. Had all their albums and stil love their songs today (and so do my children after all our vacations when they "had" to listen to CCR in de the back of the car). I think he's an amazing guitar player, but I have to say that imo the time with Doug Clifford and Stu Cook was the best. For me they also were a big part of the Creedence sound.

Beatles was in a class of their own. And they were four. Also when it comes to CCR - the band , drums , bass and Johns brother on guitar was a really , really good band. John solo is nothing compared to Creedence.
