I’ve been learning creeping death for a bit now and even though this video is 11 years old at this moment, it’s still the best one I’ve seen for learning this solo - Chris ur the man
@heilvictory7295 жыл бұрын
I've found to learn Kirk's solos you should learn Tony iommis first. Very similar blues type tricks. But Kirk speeds them up. So...it's a good way to learn.

Chris Zoupa This is my favorite Metallica song! I know how to play all of Jame's parts and all of Kirk's parts except this solo haha. Thanks to you I can learn it quickly and easily. You kick ass man! I'm 17 and I've been playing for almost a year now and your videos have helped my progress tremendously. Thanks so much. I also wanted to request some solos off the Death Magnetic album. I've been trying really hard to learn "That Was Just Your Life" that would be awesome if you could do a lesson for it.

does anyone else notice that there is a bend at the 22nd fret in every kirk hammett solo. Not a bad thing. -_____-
@4572dk8 жыл бұрын
same with mustaine
@Sandarpan8 жыл бұрын
That's because their songs are almost always in E Minor and they bend the D on 22 to the E on 24.

Hey Chris, nice work on this solo tutorial, very helpful in showing us the right notes for the faster runs etc. quick question, dyou ever try tackle any stuff like Slipknot riffs etc? Im having a bit of trouble with an opening riff for a song called prosthetics. as far as I can work out, Mick is using a ring modulator, some delay, pitch shifted down an octave and some slight phasing too. But because the fx are so thick its hard to sus the EXACT notes he's playing. closest I can get is somewhere around frets 7-9 on the low B and F# strings. dyou think you could take a listen and see if you can figure it out? plz, and thanks in advance!
