In your explanation regarding the witness you say @ 3:25 : "The forensic scientist will first point to the murderer and then to the accomplice." However, the rules say "They [the witness] has no way of knowing which is the murderer and which is the Accomplice." I don't know if the rules have changed in the last 2 years, but this statement of yours contradicts the rules. I would like to say that your explanation is very concise and understandable. Even after reading the rules, this helped me understand the game and even challenged by knowledge of the rules with this minor incorrect detail. Thank you.

One tip is to check roles before placing the Blue/Red cards, so that the Forensic Scientist doesn't have to setup that part just to hand it in again and also to give the Murderer a bit more time to think about what evidence to point at.

Just a clarification the witness doesn't suppose to know who is the murderer and who is the accomplice, he just know that person is one or the other, but he doesn't know who is who
@todorkon3 жыл бұрын
Exactly. And to accomplish this I guess the forensic scientist should make an effort to point at the murder and accomplice simultaneously.
@shahbazshaikh2884Ай бұрын
@@todorkon if there is a witness, then the best way for forensic guy is to do this: Tell everyone to keep their eyes closed, and witness opens their eyes. Then forensic guy tells murderer and accomplice to raise their hands so witness does not know who is who

I'm confused - who puts the bullet markers down, what do they mean, and what's the purpose of tossing Scene tiles in and out?
@Trestero6 жыл бұрын
Techno Maestro So the forensic scientist knows what the murder weapon and evidence are but can't directly say so. They basically have to come up with a scenario for how the murder must have taken place, and the tiles are like a multiple choice where the scientist places a bullet to say "it's this one." So if there's Ammonia and a toothbrush, maybe I as the scientist would indicate that the crime took place in a bathroom by placing a bullet at that spot on the tile. So now the debating players have a chance to take that clue and focus on things that would make sense to be in a bathroom. As for swapping out the tiles, it's so you have a chance to change what you're indicating if people are getting thrown off-track by a tile you put down. It can also end up just being a way to provide more specific information (assuming people remember the thing you're swapping out) to help narrow things down.
@IAmTechnoMaestro6 жыл бұрын
Thanks! That is a super helpful explanation and makes the Scientist even more important to the game than I originally thought.

I have a question about choosing the weapon and evidence. When the murder picks the weapon does the evidence have to match? Or can I pick like, Acid and hat?
@Suikanen2 жыл бұрын
Yes, you can do that. There are no restrictions on which cards you can pick as a murderer, as long as they're in front of you. As a general rule, you're better off picking cards that are very similar to cards in front of *other* players. If you pick a hammer and a cucumber, and other people have blunt instruments and other grocery items in their tableau, the forensic scientist will have a hard time singling you out.

The Presentation phase is kind of silly and unnecessary. We never do it and the game goes fine. You just say what you want to say at whatever moment you want to say it. It sounds like that's a recipe for chaos but even with 10+ people it's not that bad.

Is it possible you guys could cover the silent victory games, u-boat leader, objective vietnam, any of the picket duty series, and maybe perhaps? The Hunters: German U-Boats at War, 1939-45... if you can thatd be great if not totally understandable not exactly the most common games... also i dont think i saw twighlight imperium in your list but i may have missed... then again you guys likely get a massive list of tutourial requests so.

this game seems really clunky. its too complex for a party game and too light for the heavy game crowd not sure what audience its supposed to be aimed at. If i wanted to play a game about solving a murder id play mysterium instead this game just seems to be a more dense version of mysterium with social deduction mechanics bolted onto it crudely with a far less interesting theme than mysterium.
