How To Play French Cruiser La Galissonnière in World Of Warships

When I first played this ship, I hated it as I would get destroyed within the first 5 min. After watching your video, I changed my play style on this ship and consistently score 2 or more kills per battle. Thank you for your pointers.

Thanks for the ship reviews. I like them a lot. The Propulsion Mod 2 only helps when accelerating from 0 - 6 kph. It doesn't affect decelerating or going in reverse at all.

It does impact going from 0 to -6 knots as well. I'm pretty sure the "time to reach full power" applies in the negative as well as with this mod the ship decelerates just as fast as it seems to accelerate! :) Speed boost DEFINITELY does help in this regard though!

Yeah, I took four years of French in highschool and spent a day in Paris (and I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night!) so I have a bit better working understanding of the French language.... That said, It's not perfect by any stretch! :( I'm sure a real Frenchman or Frenchwoman is cringing right now! =\ Silly Americans!

One of my favorite 6 tier. I have lot of fun with her. Especially with BBs. Situation when I have less then 3k HP and I still punching enemy ship while dodging shells and bouncing them. ;D I love it.

Good review! There is a reason I call it the La Glass Cannon but it's fun. The heavy cruisers get even better!

Hi, just got back in the game after a short pause from it. Still need to work on my aiming. But found out that the operation mode is fantastic for this. Also had my second kraken with my Émile Bertin yesterday in a random battle. I still need to develop my situational awareness. Thanks for this présentation on the La Galissonnière, vers helpfull. I look your stream and it is helping me with my understanding of situational awareness. Any other tips for this?

3:47 I thought the whole point of the W and S keys in the WASD hack is that changing speeds makes the shells fall ahead or behind (i.e. your opponents have range rate as well as bearing rate errors to deal with). Granted, there are definitely times you just want to open the range as quickly as possible, but if you are manoeuvring and trading shots, speed isn't everything. (CORRECTION: I note you deal with the art of the range rate error later.) In terms of gunnery, she's very much like a three-turret Colony-class ship.

peter grifin I have only played against them. I would not like yammy because its very static. She seems more like a simi mobile pill box. There hard to kill but they can't move ether. I have been able to park my Des in a way that yami could not shoot back and I can kill it with ap in min. And I have gotten 4 of them that way.

I just bought Yamato, and I move it around like all my battleshipts(Fuso, Nagato, Amagi). Its not Yamato that wants to stay stationary, its the players mindset that thinks, "hey I have 26km range, I don't need to move, I can already shoot across the map". But me, I like to get into the action.

Just as I finished the grind to Algerie, I figured out how to kite effectively. I'm still not good at it, but I survive longer and do more damage.

3 galissonnières class for the Vichy navy with 4 torpedo sea planes and 3 in the FN FL wwithout torpédo and torpedo seaplanes but with radars and AA like the Emile Bertin I hope a new update for the french cruisers they are the less played of the game

Duane Sarjec Well, considering other line have some gimmick for attention: HE shell for RNBB and Former IJN.... sorry, Deep Water Torp for Asian DD. Yep, the French Cruiser line looks boring. ;)

Yeah... I'm content with the current "gimmick" for the French cruisers being speed boost! :) No need to add special torpedoes or radar to T5 and T6 ships! :O

I don't think the French have a bad ship, looking at you York. T8 French is the best t8 in my option. Just got the t9 and it seems to be solid as well. The speed boots seems strange at first but used right its very effective.

HE is good? thats laughable 75% of my HE shells shatter unless I am shooting at DDs or very light cruisers (British or French)

my personal idea is Emile has an almost same weapon like la gali. But Emile has the airplane and shorter body. It doesn't lose so many speed like la gali when it turns. Both two can help me avoiding incoming shells. Thus Emile is faster.

They took some liberties in Legends that don't exist in the PC game... She's much faster in WoWs and much closer to her real world counterpart.
