The most clear explanation of how to play this song , no mystification or complexity to dazzle beginner or intermediate players, for perspicuity of wit and brevity of expression you have no equal here on you tube , and absolutely charming as well . Bravo Jamie!

I find it easier when the chords are in (C) the lyric line rather (G) than above, like you did for Four Strong Winds. I've been diggin' Neil for 54 years now. Thanks.

I normally don't comment beyond thumbs up but you seem familiar for some reason..?? how about Leonard Cohen? he's a big fav. of mine an the older(2009>) is as good/better than ever another canadian Hmmm my son left me a 4-leaf clover today..he finds all the time me maybe 2 in 20 years..do you use thin picks pointy or rounded? I use round/thick for lead runs as you would on a mandolin can't find the name but its fast up/down kinda fun

Trying to learn this one. Tool cool to pass up! First attempt at a hammer on. Although I can hear the sound slightly when I put my finger back down I am not sure how to make it louder. Should I be pushing down on the string harder??
@JamieAndersonMusic3 жыл бұрын
You want the finger to drop solidly on the string. It take some practice. Try isolating it and only practicing the hammer on.

Jamie - yes - I too am a Neil Young fan - I REALLY ENJOY ALL your instruction. That being said - I am NOT a fan of your GUILD GUITAR because, just my humble opinion , it does not lend itself well to your playing . The tone is fair enough - for sure BUT , to me , the tone is to tinny / treble toned. A guitar with a RICHER , WARMER TONE would certainly lend itself FAR BETTER to highlight your GREAT PLAYING 😐👍👍👍✌️✌️✌️✌️
@JamieAndersonMusic4 жыл бұрын
Thanks, Coy. Actually, a better mike would improve the sound. I don't have the money to upgrade right now.
